Fallen people need regulation, but which should Christians favor: Competition or Government Regulation?  The government regulators are fallen, so who’s going to regulate the regulators?  The fallen nature is more effectively controlled, and poor consumers get better quality products at lower prices, when the fallen nature is controlled by competition.

If Jesus distributed the Gospel unequally, we should take that as an endorsement for income inequality.  Thomas Sowell wrote, “Since the reduction of poverty and the closing of economic gaps are competing goals, on what basis can we choose between them?”  Our answer as Christians is obvious: We should reduce poverty and accept income inequality.

Is the economy a force of nature made by God, or a machine that human’s adjust?  Christian economists believe there is a God who guards and guides, so we believe in more passive fiscal and monetary policies.
