On this episode I had a great conversation with my friend Micah McCaw.  Micah is an artist, musician, songwriter and even hosts his very own podcast The McCaw Podcast Universe. 

We got to discuss what it was like to release his latest album right before the pandemic hit. With no opportunity to play shows he is still making the most of it. We also talked about how the joy is in the journey, not just the destination, and how important it is to be faithful because God knows just what is ahead for us.

Hollis is a Texas native who has been deeply rooted in his home church for over 30 years. He’s gone from leading worship and writing songs for his youth group, to writing and recording music for a full-length worship project for his church. God has recently lead Hollis to step down from his church role and faithfully pursue the artist/songwriter/worship leader role in a different way.  On this encouraging episode we also get to hear about an exciting new project that he is recording, and how that came to be all through God's provision and blessing.

 Merriam Webster says Imposter Syndrome is, “a psychological condition that is characterized by persistent doubt concerning one's abilities or accomplishments accompanied by the fear of being exposed as a fraud despite evidence of one's ongoing success.” 

In this episode I wanted to talk about Imposter Syndrome and how I believe it is one of the biggest obstacles we may face on our music journey. How many times have we not done something due to it? How many times have we compared ourselves to someone else and decided that we aren’t good enough and just quit? Although Imposter Syndrome can be tough,  I wanted to share a couple of ways I believe we can overcome it and we can actually help others because of it.
