The Chuck and Brad Podcast

We were at RI Comic-Con! From being asked to vamp for time before Kevin Smith took the stage to hosting the Clerks panel! Wow! How did we handle the afterparty? Did I actually set a timer on my phone? Don't forget we also hosted panels for Titans and Supernatural! Wow! How could two mild-mannered men do all this on so little sleep? Closing this episode is our forty(ish) minute set keeping the crowd entertained before Kevin Smith took the stage! Wow! All ad-libbed! Some fun Chuck and Brad magic! - Brad MP3 Download

Chuck and I are back! After a busy, crazy, topsy-turvy month, we are back on our respective mics! Hooray! We go through our Halloween show prep and the issues we faced there. We then break down our Halloween show itself and talk through what worked and what needed more fine-tuning. Chuck spills the beans about his move to Staten Island and what that means for the future. Don't worry! I'm still here to be pessimistic about it! - Brad MP3 Download

It is here. Ray Harrington joins us to celebrate Halloween with a brand new segment on the CB pod - "Strangers and Fiction" where we get to read three stories that they've never read before. The twist is, these stories were written about...THEMSELVES!! We also filmed this episode! Enjoy it!! Happy Halloween! - Chuck MP3 Download

It hurts to admit but I am facing some battles professionally and emotionally! We loved having Mark Normand on our last episode, and the 2021 Chuck and Brad Podcast Halloween Special is coming next week (plus it's a very rare VIDEO EP featuring old Ray Harrington)! But the truth is - we just didn't have time for a new episode this week. We're sick, we're working like dogs for Chuck and Brad's Halloween Spooktacular 3, Live at the Comedy Connection in RI on Thursday, 10/21/21, so we're reposting one of our favorite Halloween episodes, again, with Ray Harrington. Sorry! We will make up for it! In the meantime, we do have a new episode up on the Pinky Promise Podcast, a mini-ep up with PVD Horror, and I just hosted a two-hour episode of the TESD Tapes with Walt Flangan, Bryan Johnson and Gitem Steve-Dave over on the Tell 'Em Steve-Dave Patreon. But for now, enjoy this spooky episode - I love this one!!! - Chuck MP3 Download

Mark Normand is hanging out with us today! We talk about his podcast Tuesdays With Stories; specifically the Patreon. How did Chuck get involved? Where was the Patreon, where is it, and where is it going next? We talk about comedy and stand-up and hit a slew of topics in this fun chat with a funny dude! Video podcast also available! - Brad MP3 Download

We are joined this week by Rhode Island native Doug Key! We learn about his start in comedy and try to figure out where our paths have intersected over the years. We learn about his start, taking a stand-up class and what he learned from that. We also learn how he got involved with Mark Normand (and eventually Chuck). We also learn about the Rogue Island Comedy Festival (next week!) and its beginnings. Fun talk with a good dude! - Brad MP3 Download

Some serious "Old Man Yells At Cloud" energy to start this week, as I moan and gripe about the price of hamburgers. We talk about fast food prices and try to figure out inflation versus profit margins and it goes exactly as well as you'd assume. We then dive into listener emails, including one in which we bring two Canadians together for a lifelong friendship. Fun stuff! Chuck then relates the tale of his evening at the Rhode Island Press Awards and laments not asking for leftover appetizers. - Brad MP3 Download

We start out this week with a fun little contest through our Facebook page - what the heck is one of Chuck's new horror-themed nesting dolls supposed to be? From there, we hear about Chuck's trip to New Jersey to film with Kevin Smith and Steve Buscemi - aka Kev and the Boosh! Chuck films with them, bums around the state with his cool Jersey friends, then drives to New York to do some more filming with Tuesdays With Stories. Why was Chuck late, and how is it never his fault? He came back to town for a day, then went to New York to see The Lion King on Broadway. Chuck explains it all to me, then talks about having to evacuate the hotel after a suspicious fire alarm. Fortunately, he made it home safely. We then offer a spoiler-free review of Shang-Chi, make it clear when spoilers start, then take a deep, deep dive into the newest Marvel film before closing out! - Brad MP3 Download

We went to Ohio! Wow! And we are legally prohibited from telling you the EXACT reason we were there, but we can talk about the trip itself! How did we miss a flight? Which of us did his best to get us added to the no-fly list? How much cheese is too much cheese? All of this and more (but not so much that we violate our NDAs)! - Brad MP3 Download

Chuck got into a surprising confrontation in a parking lot. Did he handle it the right way? Who escalated things past the point of peaceful resolution? We then read some listener emails, including one listener surviving a confrontation of his own with a naked (and psychotic!) man. We discuss our fighting strategies for both naked and non-naked opponents. I tell Chuck about my trip to see "Into the Woods" put on by a local theater group and Chuck loves my misadventures. Chuck tells me about his fancy trip to the Newport Polo Grounds with a variety of local influencers. He then tells me about his trip to get a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles toy (the van) and how it led him to a new fancy seafood place. We talk about The Big Lebowski as well as the movie Cherry, directed by the Russos and starring Tom Holland. We close the episode with the debut of a listener-submitted song about me (Brad)! A poem by "Little Jack" set to music by The Famous Sandhogs! About me! What the heck?! - Chuck MP3 Download
