I begin a series of episodes where I invite the men and women in my music family who are part of the black community to share their stories, their convictions and to discuss ways that we can be a part of the solution and build a world that works for all of us.  You’ve heard my guest, Pam Trotter, on some of my most familiar recordings like Gonna Be Alright, Nothing At All, and No Apologies. You’ve seen her do a ton of tour dates with me including the most recent west coast dates of my annual Home For The Holidays Tour.  But she is also a brilliant film, tv, and stage actress whose credits include Dreamgirls, My Name Is Earl, The Color Purple, and a new film release Pencil Town coming soon. Pam brings me back to the one thing that all else is built upon.  Without a relationship with God, the world will only deteriorate underneath growing darkness.  We are in a spiritual warfare like we've never known.  How do we fight the spiritual forces of hatred when we won't even fight for your own spiritual health?
