On today’s episode we’re talking about creative cities and what it to takes to make and manage them. When we talk about creative cities we often think about artists or technology disrupters. We don’t tend to think about the systems that run those cities as possessing the same kinds of creativity.
As we transition into a world of megacities, gig employment and environmental upheaval, we are increasingly in need of new and radical problem-solving ideas and invention to keep our cities functioning and liveable.
To celebrate the launch of the Creative Bureaucracy Festival 2020 and Think City’s involvement in it, Matt Armitage speaks to Charles Landry, international adviser, author and founder of the Festival about the need for creative policy-making in these troubled times.
