Rising prices make now the best time to be in the cattle business, an Alabama Extension Service agent told local cattlemen on Feb. 28. Ken Kelly, who spoke at the Clarke County Cattlemen’s Association’s annual meeting at Clarke Prep School in Grove Hill, said demand for beef is high and cattle inventories are low, making for higher prices at the grocery store where demand is high.
