On Wednesday, June 25, a log truck of JNEW Enterprises LLC overturned after making a right turn onto Highway 5 in Pine Hill. The driver, Barren Williams of Grove Hill, walked away with minor injuries. He was taken to the Grove Hill Memorial Hospital to be treated for his injuries by personal vehicle and released.

One of my favorite places is Fort McRee, which was one of three major United States fortifications built to strengthen defense efforts at Pensacola Bay after the War of 1812. It was located on the eastern end of Foster’s Bank in Perdido Key, and only accessible by boat. Luke Stephens of Fulton has been named to the Young Alumni Advisory Commitee (YAAC) that serves under the National 4-H Council.
