Nikk (she/her)i is a dancer, teacher, tarot reader, and soon to be therapist. I met Nikki in a tarot course we were both in to deepen our practice. In this solo episode we talk about the major differences in therapy vs. coaching. Therapist and coaches tend to have a low key battle and I bring an important point up.....what if we can all just work together? I talk about the importance of staying within your scope staying in your own lane! We talk about how therapy includes red tape, ethics, and is a regulated field. We talk about what issues might be covered in therapy versus coaching. I also discuss how therapy isn't always for everyone and how it's not the end all be all in healing. I also chat about the ego trip sometimes therapists go on because we are so valued in society...and mental health is becoming more "mainstream."
