What will it take for the Buckeyes, Tigers and Sooners to get back in the thick of the playoff mix next season?

All three schools underwent major changes this offseason. 

Ohio State hired four new assistants, including new defensive coordinator Jim Knowles. 

Clemson lost both coordinators -- Tony Elliott and Brent Venables -- and promoted Brandon Streeter and Wes Goodwin from within.

Oklahoma hired Venables as its head coach after Lincoln Riley left for USC.

That's a lot of new faces for three big-time programs.

Michigan has an edge with its edge rushers, starting with Aidan Hutchinson, but Georgia has an edge at linebacker starting with Nakobe Dean.

The two offensive play callers -- Michigan's Josh Gattis and Georgia's Todd Monken -- will matter a lot, as will the two expected starting quarterbacks -- Michigan's Cade McNamara and Georgia's Stetson Bennett.
