“Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!” A blind beggar on the side of a busy street at the outskirts of town shouted this out to Jesus…what was he asking for? 

The dictionary definition of “mercy” is compassion for an offender - lenience and sympathy. Was that what he expected do you think?  

How many times have you been at a place in your life, a place so desperate, so in need, so at the end of yourself, that you cried out to Jesus? 

In the natural you had nowhere else to go.  You have nowhere else...  If only we were blind enough to see!

To be very honest, I have no idea what exactly I am going to talk about today...  As such, you just never know what is going to come out of my mouth.  It will be truth.  It will be powerful.  It might just be important to you...

Here we are, the worst has happened, "The Sage of the Court" Justice Antonin Scalia has left this earth for his Heavenly home with the Lord, as he believed his entire life...  While there in Heaven is wonderful for Justice Scalia, and one day will be wonderful for those who believe, it is not wonderful for us here and now in this country...

WHY?  Because the true Conservative voice of the Supreme Court of the United States is silenced in the death of Justice Scalia.  The lone true Originalist adherent to the Constitution is quieted in death and we as citizens are seriously in great peril.  I will explain why this is so.

I might even chat about the recent Republican Debates and give my two cents.  I will also talk about what I believe will truly help this country not only survive, but also thrive...  Listen in!  Tell a friend or 100.

Today we are going to talk about Praise. We are going to talk about Praising God, why we praise God - and why he Wants our puny praise and about who really benefits from it.

"But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel."

Psalm 22:3(KJV) "Yet you are holy, enthroned on the praises of Israel (ESV)”

HE inhabits the praises of His people - He is “enthroned" on the praises of His people. To inhabit is to LIVE in, to enthrone is to give a position of AUTHORITY. In our praise - our spoken praise - God lives on Earth - He is brought into this realm, into your situation - Alive and filled with power. He is also enthroned - given Authority. This is key because in the absence of praise Who has been given “authority” here on earth? (answer: Satan).

A poll by the Guardian in the UK reported that 66% of their respondents said they dropped their resolutions within the first month. Those are the people that actually admit it!

They admit to NOT being resolved for even ONE Month! I actually read in the paper the other day that in the United States 96% actually quit by the third month of the year! Only 4% stay in it to win it after making a New Year’s Resolution!

This isn’t really surprising is it?

You can almost always find Kefa or as he is known in English Bibles, Peter, before the crucifixion. He is usually the “man with his foot in his mouth, or the man who wants to call down fire on someone or cut someone with his sword!” The incident at the foot-washing may reveal many of the reasons he was such.
