Genesis 1:1, 26-31; 2:1-3, 15-25 - C.S. Lewis wrote "a man does not call a line crooked unless he has some idea of a straight line." The Bible begins with a beautiful picture of how the world is supposed to be, and it calls us to trust in the God who can make it that way again.

1 Thessalonians 5:19-28 - In the midst of the world's uncertainty one thing is sure: God can be trusted to do what He has said He will do. The letter of 1 Thessalonians ends with a reminder that God is at work among His people, and He will see that work though to completion.

Mark 2:23-3:6 - REST. We all strive for it. We all want it. We all need it. However, it seems more a heavenly facade than a physical achievement.
