I decided to take this course because I often found myself too focused on the steps and not enough on truly flowing with the music. Sometimes, tango music just felt like a confusing bowl of sound, and I struggled to anticipate what was coming next in the song. I knew that understanding the music was key to creating a great dance, both for leaders and followers, but I thought my intuition would be enough. Finally, I put my assumptions asided and decided to dive deeper and improve my musicality—and this course didn’t disappoint.
