  • Earthquakes
This week on The Conduct Science Podcast join Mitch and Tom as they explore the world itself through plate tectonics and earthquakes... what's the deal with them anyway? Off to a tangent hot start as per normal Mitch highlights new research that is allowing frogs to regrow functioning legs and Tom talks about the Streisand effect and its relevance this week. Heading into the facts the boys dig out some things you may not know about how Earth works before talking about their natural disaster experiences (not that disaster-y as it turns out). Mitch explains the structure of Earth while Tom talks about plate tectonics. Finally, the boys answer the question: what is an earthquake and what causes them? Lastly, the Richter scale is cast aside for new fancier way of measuring earthquakes. Music: MOKKA Music on YouTube

  • Why are fish?
This week on The Conduct Science Podcast, join Mitch and Tom as they explore the world of fish! Tom starts off strong with his anti-vaxxer experience, but many tangents are here to follow. The boys move on to exciting space news that could point to evidence of life on Mars and an update to the James Webb Space Telescope. Fish... what are they? WHY are they? Find out here as Tom explains how gills work and how fish are categorised based on their movement. Mitch explains to us how the word "fish" even came to be and that if you were lazy enough even a hippo could be called a fish, he goes on to explain that fish can feel pain and emotion and the often... unethical ways that we came to discover this information. Tom rounds out the show clearing up an old debate about whether sunfish are the most useless fish on the planet or not. Make sure you listen to the end for this dramatic story and Mitch's verdict. • Nanotechnology II
This week on The Conduct Science Podcast, Mitch and Tom explore what we Na-know about Nanotechnology ;). Delving into the very small where things get weird wouldn't be the same without a tangent about Microsoft and the gamine scene would it? Right? Back on track the boys take a look at some incredible discoveries made this week in Antarctica and also a look at cultured meat. Moving into the facts and meat of the show the boys spend probably too long talking about Spermbots... yes Spermbots... before introducing nanotechnology itself. Mitchell tells us all about nanomaterials and the boys debated the advantages and disadvantages of this technology as it heads into the future. Music: MOKKA
