In 1997, Mikael Boyum founded MBJ Electronics which would become Boyum IT in 2001 as their focus shifted from hardware to web-based solutions.

Over the next two decades, Boyum IT would become an SAP Partner, release the B1 Usability Package – racking up over 5000 installations in over 90 countries, acquire the Belgian company Produmex, and solidify their place in the warehouse management market internationally.
