Trust and obedience are companions in scripture. Trust initiates and motivates obedience.  Obedience expresses, affirms, and confirms trust.  We obey because we trust and because we trust we obey.  Trust fuels obedience and obedience strengthens our trust.  Failing to obey God demonstrates a lack of trust on our part.  In this teaching we look at an Old Testament King who missed out on the promises of God because he simply didn’t trust and obey God.
