Colossians 3:3 for you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.

A Life Hidden in Christ is a life focused on growing in Christian character and to that end, God has given us His Word, His Spirit and all the provisions of heaven to develop our character,  however the message today is going to focus on another aspect of The Christian life being hidden in Christ, but also how are our purpose and destinies are also Hidden in Christ.

Isaiah 40:31 But those who wait on the LORD Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.

We're living in an age and time when life has become so challenging that even the young, fit and able bodied become weary, tired and give up, but thats only because they're depending upon their own natural energy and not the power of God.

But for those of us who wait upon the Lord, something supernatural happens, instead of becoming wore out and tired, our strength is renewed and we're able to soar like an eagle upon the winds of adversity,  above the challenges of the day and God uses those adversities and challenges to mold our character and propel us into our destiny.

Matthew 11
28 "Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and
I will give you rest.
29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and
you will find rest for your souls

Unrest resulted from The Fall, it was when Adam fell that unrest came upon mankind. The curses God spoke over Adam and Eve were curses of labor, toil  and unrest.  This is why all throughout scripture, old testament to new,  in virtually every book, God is expressing His desire to restore mankind to a place of rest

Hopefully, this message will help us to appreciate the rest  we have been given in Christ Jesus because outside of Jesus, there is no rest

Ephesians 2:6 and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,
Throughout the bible God has positioned his people for breakthrough and favor.
From Adam and Eve, to Noah, Moses, David, Esther, Nehemiah, Joseph and every man and women used by God, all of them were positioned by God to be in the right place at the right time and they were all flesh and blood humans just like us.  The Good News is that as Believers in Christ Jesus, we have the best position, positioned by our Heavenly Father with a better covenant and better promises, seated in heavenly places in Christ Jesus.

Thanks for joining us as we go into God's Word to learn how we've been positioned for breakthrough and favor

PHILIPPIANS 3

13 Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead
14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

One of the greatest challenges of discipleship is  pressing toward the mark for the prize which is in Christ Jesus. That means  pressing past complacency, pressing past the routine, pressing past religion and tradition.
When our zeal for God is according to the knowledge of salvation in Christ, it will not only continue to burn, but it will burn brighter with the passing of time
Thanks for joining us today as we delve into the topic of Pressing Toward the Mark!

Wherever Jesus went, sickness had to flee & death lost its sting. Strife, jealousy, bitterness, envy, hatred, unforgiveness and anything that is not of God, cannot stand in the presence of Jesus.
This means nothing is more important than the presence of God, in our homes, our church and wherever we go. How do we change the atmosphere?  By ushering in the presence of God because the presence of God Changes Things

Last week we mentioned our need of Jesus is our connection to Jesus and in this church, we focus on the need for healthy growth in every area of our lives

Whatever way  you've been led to deny some aspect of your flesh during this time of fasting, during this coming week let us remember the entire purpose of fasting is to devote time to prayer, meditation upon the Word, spending time with and growing closer to Jesus
While the children of Israel were wandering in the wilderness,  all of their nourishment came from Christ...But they didn't know it. They didn't have spiritual eyes to see God's grace. It was Christ who kept them, nourished them and sustained them throughout their journey

It's the same for us today. Healthy things grow, and the spiritual growth we are seeking will only come through  a constant diet of Jesus, He alone is our spiritual food and spiritual drink
