2 Corinthians 4:7 “we are like clay jars in which this treasure is stored. The real power comes from God and not from us.” 

The Amplified Bible says it this way; But we have this precious treasure [the good news about salvation] in [unworthy] earthen vessels [of human frailty], so that the grandeur and surpassing greatness of the power will be [shown to be] from God [His sufficiency] and not from ourselves.

God goes beyond just ordinary vessels, God uses broken vessels. In other words. He uses imperfect people who put their trust in a perfect God. 

In this way, when a brother or sister in Christ accomplishes something great,  all men will know that it is God who has manifested His power and glory through them. And in that way, all will know that it was not the work of men but the work of God."

For Those Of Us Who Have Accepted Jesus As Lord And Savior, There's Nothing We Can Add To The Free Gift Of Salvation, We've Been Given Because We Already Have Everything

The One Thing We Need Is A Relationship With Christ Jesus And We Can Overcome Any Obstacle. All That Is Required Of Us Is A Relationship With Him, Being Led By His Spirit  Through A Knowledge Of His Word And Spiritual Ears To Hear The Sound Of His Voice

Translated or put into context with the topic of endurance, it means my assignment is not to be the fastest or the physically strongest. My assignment is to endure. To endure I have to be spiritually strong, To endure I have to outlast the attacks of the enemy, the evil and darkness of this world
