Revelation 1: 10-11 On the Lord’s Day I was in the Spirit, and I heard behind me a loud voice like a trumpet, which said: “Write on a scroll what you see and send it to the seven churches: to Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamum, Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia and Laodicea.”

Many people, myself included  are intrigued by the Book of Revelation however, this book, more than any other, is one that has caused many to be led into speculation, misguided doctrine, cult like practices, divisiveness, strife and all sorts of wrong beliefs, therefore, I purposely avoid indulging in interpreting passages relating to the end times by assigning their meaning to specific current events. 

Jesus said, He’s coming back for a church without spot or wrinkle, in other words, His focus is on The Church, His church, the Body of Christ. not a denomination, not a mega church or a church that considers itself the best....but His Church!

In this message Pastor Art takes a closer look at what many believe is the most important aspect of The Book of Revelation which is The Letters to the 7 Churches.

2 CORINTHIANS 4:13
It is written: “I believed; therefore I have spoken.” Since we have that same spirit of faith, we also believe and therefore speak,

What we believe, we will speak and like it or not, our words have power

Mark 4:24 says "be careful what you hear," “consider carefully what you hear,” or "pay close attention to what you hear." Because the word we receive will become the word we believe and will lead to the words we speak, 

In 2 Corinthian 4:13, Paul is quoting Psalm 116:10 and making the point that we have the same spirit of faith as David, Moses, Abraham and all the great men and women of the bible, we, like they, believe and so we speak!

Jesus restored the authority that Adam lost and that's why He's telling us to speak to the mountains in our life, He said we would speak to the sycamine tree and it would obey us. The angel told Daniel, "your words were here and I have come because of your words (Daniel 10:13)

Genesis 12

and all the families of the earth will be blessed through you”

Joshua 1:9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

God promised Joshua that as He was with Moses He will also be with him. The same promise holds true for each and every believer today for through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, God is with us wherever we go but the question is, do we acknowledge His presence, do we reverence His presence and are we truly appreciating the Gift of Fellowship we have with God by His Holy Spirit in Christ?

Romans 5:15 But the free gift is not like the offense. For if by the one man’s offense many died, much more the grace of God and the gift by the grace of the one Man, Jesus Christ, abounded to many.

We all know that because of sin that there is a heaven and hell to choose. But it's not only about that because Jesus didn't come into this world just so we could say a prayer and if we have an accident on the way home and die we'll go to heaven but rather Jesus came into this world for a transformation in our life so we become new creatures in Christ Jesus. 

It's not that we're going to heaven, it's that heaven can come and live in us so that the kingdom of God can have the rule and reign in our lives as we follow the kingdom of God from within, not from without.

2 Corinthians 5:17  therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new

As a born again believer, your parent's DNA and genetics do not determine your destiny or purpose, neither does your past, your wrong thinking or the bad things that have happened to you. Not even the neighborhood and environment you grew up in, they do not determine your destiny or purpose. 

You are in Christ and as such, you are a New Creation and your purpose and destiny are in Christ because your identification is with Him and not with anything else!

Matthew 24:10 And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another. 

Because of Adam and Eve’s sin, they becoming emotionally ruled people, people led by emotions rather than the Spirit of God. Most of us become offended because of what people have done to us or how we believe we've been mis-treated by others. So offense is very common, its the number 1 reason why  so many people do not get along with one or another and the key reason why so many people remain isolated, angry and offended.

Satan’s goal is to turn a warm heart into a cold one,  so if you want to play into the hands of the enemy,  stay offended in your life. 

But if you want to stop playing into the devil's hands, then it's time that we learn how to stop being offended.

Joshua 1:8 This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.

GENESIS 1:28
and god blessed them, and god said unto them, be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

God's blessing is empowerment"  in other words, when God blesses someone, it is not just mere words being spoken or a wish for good things to happen, its an impartation of His power and ability to achieve those good things and to overcome adversity that tries to hinder His Blessings because God’s Blessing is His way of Giving and our way of giving is through our reasonable service of worship
