Fish are only going to get as big as their fish bowls allow them, so if you want bigger fish you'll need to move them to a bigger tank. Humans are pretty similar, but how do we know when it's the right time to hop to a new tank and not stay comfy in our current one?

This is me just catching up with y'all about what I've been doing the last couple weeks, what's ahead, and how blowing a tire on an interstate can make you real happy with what you've learned in the past. 

We often forget that everyone in this world - every single person - is a child of God. So, how do we do a better job of being empathetic to everyone in the world and not just our friends? Spoiler alert: it's not easy.

 People from a distance will see you, like you and think you’re a good person. May even call you a buddy.

But when you earn someone’s trust, and they earn yours, and you become friends. Then you reveal your true self. For someone to love you, they have to have permission to love you. Do we choose to be admired, or loved?

 When we look at skyscrapers we see different shapes and sizes. When God looks at skyscrapers, He views them from above and sees them all the same. Why do we compare ourselves so often, and why do we allow ourselves to hurt those around us that we love the most? Lots of questions. Let's dig for some answers. 

When Peter walked out to Jesus on water, as soon as he allowed the storm around him to worry him, he sank. Our lives are pretty much the same and the storm has yet to seize - so how do we do better about focusing on Jesus ahead and not the storm around us?

People seldom venture boldly into sin - it's usually a process of being broken down little by little to a point where we look around and can't understand how we ended up where we are at. Luckily, if we stay focused on our father at the end of the race, we can keep from falling into sin little by little.

When I moved into my first apartment there was a random lamp in the middle of the room. That lamp brought me a source of light when I really needed it. Good news - you can find a glimmer of light in every situation if you're willing to try. 

Whenever I move I'm just focused on getting everything moved into my new place and living there, but how much of the experience and memories am I missing out on by not embracing the whole moving experience?

We spend so much of our lives focused on sound - making sound, being loud, making sure we're being heard - that we sometimes forget to just be silent and listen to ourselves sometimes. Why would that be important?
