Welcome to the 30th episode of The ConunDRUM podcast!! I said that I'd be venturing out of the Atlantic Provinces - and having some amazing guests...I can't think of a better person to bring onto the show than the Canadian Rock n Roll ICON, the Mango Kid himself......DANKO JONES!!!  

I've been a fan of Danko's for a long time - he is someone I've always respected and admired as not only a musician, but as a human being! There were so many thing I wanted to talk with him about...but had to hold myself back as I didn't want to come off as a complete fanboy. This week my guest(s) are the amazing husband and wife team - John and Lisa McLaggan of Tomato/Tomato (tuh-mey-toh / tuh-mah-toh). 

This powerhouse folk duo bring their high energy, laugh out loud, sing along, foot stomping good time to every stage they play on. They also are very chill, laid back, and down to earth....that can be very rare in the music world.  John and Lisa share how they used the pandemic shut downs to take time for themselves and recharge the things that mattered most. How they discovered music growing up in non musical families, and how their passion for music lead hem to find each other.

If there is a cooler person than my guest this week...I haven't met them yet. Ryan Barrie is probably the most likeable and cool dude you could ever get the chance to meet....it's no wonder he is a constant in the Fredericton music scene...he's currently playing in three projects: Wicked Vices, Kylie Fox, and Too Bad Jim. He's also an educated and well spoken individual - I mean, he is the Director of Marketing for the small but mighty, made in NB - but played around the world - Los Cabos Drumsticks! Without a doubt they are the best sticks I've played...and the word is getting around as the brand continues to grow and add more amazing artists to the roster....and Ryan might just have a part in that.
