  • 24. I Quit Smoking Weed for 2 Years… Then Started Again (Allegedly)

Cannabis has been my best friend, my coping mechanism, my creative partner, and occasionally… my problem.

In this episode, I’m getting really honest about my decade+ relationship with cannabis. Going from occasional use to smoking every single day, realizing I was using it to numb my grief and pain, quitting for two years, and eventually finding my way back to the plant.

But this isn’t just me telling you my weed story. I’m sharing what I learned along the way so you can take a closer look at your own relationship with cannabis. Whether you’re thinking about quitting, cutting back, setting some boundaries, or simply getting more intentional about why you consume. We’re getting into what finally made me quit, what actually changed when I stopped, the mistakes I made when I started again, how I’m approaching consumption differently now, and some practical ways to start changing your habits without immediately going into an all-or-nothing spiral.

Basically: the good, the bad, the munchies, the brain fog, the grief, the quitting, the going-back, and the shit I’m still figuring out. Because apparently, after a decade, I still have notes. And it may take another decade or more to sort it all out.

    I yap about:

    • The signs that your relationship with cannabis might not be serving you anymore
    • The questions I wish I had asked myself sooner about why I was actually consuming
    • What finally helped me quit after years of daily use and what I learned from two years without cannabis
    • My tips for reducing your consumption without falling into an all-or-nothing mindset
    • How to create realistic boundaries around cannabis and recognize when occasional use starts becoming a daily habit
    • Why replacing one coping mechanism with another doesn't necessarily solve the underlying problem
    • The unexpected things that changed when I quit and what happened when I eventually started consuming again
    • Why mullein (the smokable herb) can be your best friend when it comes to smoking or quitting
    • My 1%, 20%, and 50% better challenges for anyone who wants to rethink, reduce, or simply get more intentional about their cannabis use

  • 23. The 3 Email Automations Every Business Should Set Up First

Are you ready to stop manually chasing customers and start letting your emails do some of the heavy lifting?

In today's episode, we're diving into the three essential email marketing automations every business should have: your welcome series, abandoned cart series, and post-purchase series. I'll walk you through why these automations matter, when to send them, and exactly what to include so you can start nurturing customers, recovering potentially lost sales, and creating more opportunities for repeat purchases.

And because I know you love numbers (okay maybe not all of you), we're also getting into some seriously interesting email marketing statistics that show just how much revenue automations can generate compared to regular newsletters.

Whether you're starting from scratch, you've been putting off setting up your automations, or you already have a few running but aren't sure if they're actually working, this episode will help you figure out what to prioritize and where to start.

    I yap about:

    • Why email automations can generate significantly more revenue than regular newsletters
    • The three essential automations every business should prioritize
    • What to include in each email series, when to send them, and how to turn subscribers into customers
    • Other automations worth considering, from birthday emails to win-back sequences
    • How to use time delays strategically so your emails reach customers at the right moment
    • How to review, update, and improve your automations over time
    • Simple ways to start implementing what you've learned without getting overwhelmed

    • Episode 15: Dive into how to build your email list and create your lead magnet to sustainably grow it.

    Resources:

    • Automations delivered outsized results. They represented just 2% of email sends, but drove 30% of revenue, earning 16× more per send than scheduled campaigns by reaching shoppers at high-intent moments. (Omnisend 2026 report)
    •  For this reason, automation (abandoned cart, welcome series, and back-in-stock emails) can be the real money-maker.
    • Automated emails = 2% of sends → 30% of revenue (Omnisend)
    • Generate 16× more revenue per email than campaigns (Omnisend)
    • Have 2,361% higher conversion rates than batch emails (Omnisend)
    • Klaviyo’s 2026 analysis of more than 183,000 customers found that automated flows:
    • Generated nearly 41% of email revenue from only 5.3% of email sends
    • Produced approximately 18× more revenue per recipient than standard campaigns
    • Achieved 3× higher click rates and 13× higher order rates
    • Generated almost 48% of their revenue from new customers, versus 16% for campaigns
    • Omnisend’s analysis of 24 billion emails similarly found that automated emails generated 37% of email-driven sales from just 2% of email volume. Welcome, abandoned-cart and browse-abandonment emails produced 87% of all automation-generated orders.
    • According to Klaviyo, top-performing programs generate substantially more, approximately $21.18 per welcome-series recipient, $28.89 per abandoned-cart recipient and $5.14 per post-purchase recipient
    • Abandoned cart: Typically produces the highest revenue per recipient because the shopper has already demonstrated product and purchase intent. Recent industry estimates suggest email-and-SMS abandonment programs can recover approximately 10–20% of abandoned carts, although results vary widely.
    • Post-purchase: Generates less immediate revenue per recipient than cart or welcome flows, but its value extends beyond directly attributed sales. Post-purchase emails can increase product adoption, reviews, cross-sells, replenishment purchases, referrals and customer lifetime value. Klaviyo reports that post-purchase messages produce 90% more revenue per recipient than average campaign emails.
    • Winback: Usually has the lowest immediate conversion rate because it targets customers whose engagement has already declined. Nevertheless, it monetizes an existing customer list without paying to acquire those customers again. Performance improves when timing reflects the normal repurchase cycle and messages are personalized by previous product, purchase frequency or predicted next order.
    • Across 143,000+ flows, Klaviyo reports abandoned cart emails average a 50.5% open rate, 3.33% placed-order rate, and $3.65 revenue per recipient, with top-decile brands hitting $28.89 revenue per recipient — roughly 8x the average. (Klaviyo data, via CO Consulting)
    • Post-purchase consistently has the highest open rate of any flow but a comparatively modest revenue-per-recipient — one agency's Klaviyo data shows a 58% open rate paired with one of the lowest RPRs of any flow, around $0.47, and another portfolio study found a 51.3% full-flow open rate and 58.0% entry-email open rate.
    • Omnisend's 2026 report (27B+ emails analyzed) found automated emails made up just 2% of all sends but generated 30% of total email-driven revenue, earning 16x more per send than scheduled campaigns ($2.87 vs. $0.18 per send).

  • 22. People I Admire Doing Community Work

You don't need to save the world. You just need to stop pretending that liking an Instagram post counts as community work.

We're getting into what it actually means to show up for your community. Beyond posting, reposting, and telling everyone you're "doing the work" behind the scenes. Because mutual aid isn't charity, fostering community isn't a one-person job, and you don't have to be everywhere doing everything to make an impact.

Plus, I'm sharing some of the people I admire who are already doing this work in tangible ways and giving you plenty of ideas for how you can participate in mutual aid without digging into your monthly budget.

    I yap about:

    • How "I'm doing the work privately" can sometimes be code for "I'm doing absolutely fucking nothing"
    • Why you don't need to be loud, public, or the face of something to make a real impact
    • The difference between mutual aid and charity and why that distinction actually matters
    • Some of the many roles that keep a community moving, and which one might be your jam
    • Why your specific skills are probably more useful than you realize
    • The people (read: women) I can't stop talking about because they are actually walking the walk
    • How creators can turn their platforms into something that creates tangible change
    • Why you should stop reinventing the wheel and start tapping into communities already doing the work
    • Ways to practice mutual aid that don't involve opening your wallet
    • How to make calling your representatives way less intimidating
    • Why consistency beats the occasional burst of "OMG I NEED TO DO SOMETHING"
    • Your 1%, 20%, and 50% better challenges for actually getting off your ass and taking action

  • 21. The 4 Email Marketing Dating Styles | How To Build Better Customer Relationships

If you're not treating your email list right, then it's basically your situationship. And if you're not careful, you're either ghosting it, clinging to it, too shy to talk to it, or convinced it's not good enough for you yet.

The good news is you're not alone. And you have all the tools you need to ditch the situationship and get in a real solid friends to lovers arc asap.

Are you ready for a securely attached relationship with your customers?

In today's episode, I'm introducing my brand new Email Marketing Dating Styles Quiz. A fun (and scarily accurate) way to figure out what kind of email marketer you are and, more importantly, what you actually need to do next to connect with your customers. You can take the quiz here: itsallmost.com/quiz

Trust me, there is a way forward.

In this episode you'll learn that email marketing isn't really about selling at all, how your emails help you build relationships with your customers, and why "ready" isn't a feeling. It's a choice.

    I yap about:

    • The four email marketing dating styles and which one you might be
    • Why ghosting your email list doesn't mean you can't rebuild the relationship
    • What to do if you're sending constantly but your customers aren't engaging
    • Why customer listening and two way communication are essential for better email marketing
    • How to start sending emails when you have no idea what to say

    • The difference between having a small, engaged list and a huge, unengaged one
    • How automations can help you nurture customers without constantly being glued to your laptop
    • Why email marketing is about relationship building, not just selling
    • How to use customer behavior, feedback, and analytics to create better content
    • Why waiting for the "perfect time" to start is keeping you stuck

  • 20. How To Know When It’s Time To End A Friendship

Friendships can be complicated as fuck. So let's talk about what it actually means to be a good friend and when it's time to walk away.

In today's episode, I'm getting really honest about my friendship journey, from feeling like I was always on the outskirts of friend groups growing up to navigating betrayals, friendship breakups, moving across the world, and trying to build a new community in Lisbon. Because friendships are societally treated differently than romantic relationships, I've realized there are a lot of things I need to unlearn about how I communicate, handle conflict, and decide who gets to stay in my life.

Plus, why I've had to learn that not every friend needs to serve the same role in my life and why sometimes the healthiest thing you can do is walk away.

    I yap about:

    • Why I've always felt like I was on the outskirts of friend groups
    • The friendship betrayals and breakups that have shaped how I show up today
    • Why we treat romantic relationships differently than friendships when it comes to conflict
    • The biggest friendship lesson I've learned from moving across the world
    • The 10 things to look at when evaluating the health of a friendship
    • How to know when a friendship is worth working through and when it's time to walk away
    • Why your friends don't all need to serve the same purpose in your life
    • The role of friendship coaching in helping me uncover old wounds and patterns

  • 19. Stop Treating Your Customers Like Transactions.

Your customers are not vending machines, so stop treating them like they are.

In today's episode, I'm getting into why building a real community around your business can be the difference between customers who buy from you once...and customers who become your biggest damn cheerleaders.

Because marketing isn't just about shouting your message out to the internet and hoping someone pulls out their credit card. It's about actually talking to people. Listening to what they say. Paying attention to what they do. And then...here's the wild part, actually giving a shit enough to DO something with it.

    I yap about:

    • The customer experience shift that can turn a pissed-off customer into a customer for life
    • Why asking your audience what they want is only half the job
    • The surprisingly simple way to figure out what your customers actually care about (without constantly asking them)
    • Why your community shouldn't just revolve around YOU
    • The difference between building a community online vs. creating an experience people can actually feel
    • What makes certain customers become brand champions who can't stop talking about you
    • Why going a little above and beyond can create way more loyalty than another discount ever will

  • 18. I Broke Up With Half My Tech Stack

Not every shiny new platform deserves a spot in your tech stack.

In today's episode, I'm breaking down why the "best" platform trending on social isn't always the best platform for YOU. With everyone constantly recommending new tools, apps, and systems, it's easy to assume you're doing something wrong if you aren't using what everyone else is using.

I’m sharing the platforms I love, the ones I avoid, and the biggest lesson behind both: your tools should fit your brain, your business, and your energy...not someone else's workflow.

    I yap about:

    • Why you should stop jumping on every tech bandwagon
    • How to tell when a platform is wrong for your brain
    • The difference between a learning curve and a genuine "nope"
    • My favorite platforms for email, project management, content, communication, and more
    • The tools I intentionally don't use...and why
    • How to know when it's time to switch systems
    • Why it's totally fine to stick with what works for now

  • 17. That Time I Got Hit By A Semi-Truck

Life has been life-ing, so let's talk about how to not completely lose your shit when that happens.

In today's episode, I'm sharing some of the biggest mindset lessons I've learned from getting hit by a semi-truck, losing a major client, cancelling a trip, having my apartment broken into, and even having my laptop completely crash. Because when life throws shit your way, the goal isn't to never feel frustrated, scared, or overwhelmed. It's learning how to feel it, move through it, and choose how long you let it stay with you.

I also share the mindset toolkit I've built over the years, from meditation and EFT tapping to gratitude, intuition, reframing, and learning to regulate through your body. Plus, why your community might be one of the most important tools you have when life inevitably gets messy.

    I yap about:

    • The mindset shift that helped me stop letting little things ruin my entire day
    • What getting hit by a semi-truck taught me about gratitude, perspective, and trusting the bigger picture
    • How to build your own “mindset toolkit” for when life throws you curveballs
    • Meditation, EFT tapping, breathwork, movement, and other ways to regulate your nervous system
    • How to recognize where emotions show up in your body
    • Why your intuition knows more than your conscious brain
    • The importance of building a community you can actually rely on
    • The “bank of trust” and why reciprocity matters in friendships
    • How to stop letting other people's fear and scarcity become your own
    • How I've learned to reframe everyday inconveniences instead of letting them derail me

  • 16. I Accidentally Made Habit Tracking My Entire Personality.

What started as one tiny habit accidentally became my entire personality.

In today's episode, I'm sharing the habit tracking system that's transformed the way I approach my health, business, creativity, and overall wellbeing. What began as a simple way to build consistency quickly turned into one of the most powerful tools for understanding myself, but it also taught me the importance of knowing when tracking becomes too much.

I open up about the unhealthy side of obsessing over numbers, how I found my way back to a more balanced approach, and why I now use habit tracking as a tool for curiosity instead of criticism.

Whether you're trying to build better routines, feel more in control of your life, or simply stop starting over every Monday, this episode will show you how small, intentional habits can create big, lasting change.

    I yap about:

    • How habit tracking became one of the biggest catalysts for personal growth
    • The fine line between healthy accountability and unhealthy obsession
    • The "Basic Eight" habits that help me feel my happiest, healthiest self
    • Why consistency beats perfection every single time
    • How to use patterns, not willpower, to build better habits
    • The surprising ways tracking has improved my creativity, productivity, and mental wellbeing
    • Why getting 1% better is a far more sustainable goal than trying to do everything perfectly
    • The free habit tracking spreadsheet I use every day and how you can customize it to work for your own life

  • 15. The HUMAN Method, Step 1: Build an Email List That Actually Grows Your Business

Hot take: stop obsessing over followers and start collecting email addresses.

In today's episode, I'm sharing exactly how to grow an email list that actually leads to sales. From creating irresistible lead magnets (aka sign up incentives or freebies) to avoiding the biggest list-building mistakes, this is your step-by-step guide to building an audience you actually own.

I also break down why discounts aren't the best way to get subscribers, the simple website changes that can instantly increase signups, and how to create an email list-building strategy that keeps working long after your latest Instagram post disappears from the feed.

    I yap about:

    • Why your email list is one of the most valuable assets in your business
    • The easiest ways to start growing your list today (without overcomplicating it)
    • The simple website tweaks that can dramatically increase email signups
    • Lead magnets vs discount codes
    • The compliance rules you should know before collecting email addresses
    • My hot take on unsubscribes
    • Where to promote your newsletter beyond social media
    • The first action steps you can implement today to start building a list that actually converts

    Sources:

    • Adding any lead magnet roughly doubles conversion vs. no incentive. One study found mobile went from 3.83% up to 7.73%, and desktop from 1.84% up to 4.7% (My Codeless Website).
    • MailerLite's analysis of 41,000+ opt-in forms found the average conversion rate across all forms and pop-ups was 22.16%, with learning/educational offers (courses, workshops, training) as the best-performing category for most businesses at 27.4% overall conversion (MailerLite).
    • Mailer discounts tend to be the weakest lead magnet by conversion rate, not the strongest.
      • Discount forms and pop-ups had the lowest conversion rate of any offer type, at just 16.2%. Varying the discount depth (10% vs. 15% vs. 20%) doesn't move the needle much either (MailerLite).
