Jesus bears many marks: the marks of his passive humiliation, the marks of his risen and glorified body, and ultimately the marks of a conqueror.

This week we learned of the apostasy of the church as a prostitute - namely that there are those who know the truth but have willingly walked away to join themselves with Satan. We also learned that believers are marked with the blood of the Lamb. The stain of Jesus' blood washes away all other stains of sin.

This series will be an exploration of some of the powerful images in Revelation. This first message focuses on the tattoos we all carry from birth because of our sinfulness.

Boaz willingly fulfills his responsibility as Kinsman Redeemer to Ruth and Naomi. In so doing, God continues to work extraordinary things through ordinary people by continuing the geneology of Christ.

Ruth listens to Naomi's seemingly risky advice regarding her relationship with Boaz. Boaz, faced with options concerning his reaction to Ruth's advances, remains chivalrous and solely concerned about maintaining Ruth's good reputation.

Although not related by blood, Boaz shows kindness towards Ruth with whom he has "family ties" through faith in Christ Jesus.

Our God uses ordinary people, places, and circumstances to do extraordinary things that impact people all over the world.
