However, the Bible has a lot to teach us about overcoming our fear of missing while  pressing into trusting  God. This year more than others, we've had to face risky situation after risky situation. As we continue our series, "Fearless", Pastor Matt takes us to Exodus where we see the Israelites facing serious circumstances. If we remember that God is FOR us and keep the hope that dry ground is coming, we can press into standing up- even when things are risky. 

In this first message, Pastor Matt takes us to the book of Jonah where we find concrete examples of what happens when we give in to the fear of failure… and what happens when we press through it! Like Jonah, we can sometimes respond with fear when God calls us to do something. However, if we can avoid the instinct to run, we can find that success is on the table!

In this conclusion of our Dangerous Prayers series, Pastor Matt takes us to Psalms 51. When God breaks us, it is not because He enjoys to make us suffer, but because He seeks to renew a right spirit within us!  It can feel scary but if we can be vulnerable enough to let God break us, He will rebuild us stronger than before. 

In our first dangerous prayers message, Search Me, Dawn Morehouse brings us to Psalms 139. Here,  we catch a glimpse of  God's heart for us. Regularly asking God to "Search Us" sounds scary but if we remember that He is for us, He already knows us, and He seeks to save us, we can ask God to search us with confidence. 

Today, Pastor Matt takes us into the book of Romans in chapter 14 where we learn biblical principles for navigating the political division in our culture. In a world where everyone is choosing a side, we have to remember who we really are and choose to care for others, rather than convince them to join our side on debatable issues.
