In this episode, we continue our Wilderness series exploring in a miniseries as another tributary the Hebrew term kavod which is often translated glory in most English Bibles in 1 Sam 4:21-22 as it related to the naming of Eli's grandson on the day of his family's demise and the ark going into exile into the land of the Philistines.
In this 3rd of four mini-episodes, we explore God's later going into exile to Babylon to be with his people as the glory departed from Zion's temple to join his people in Babylon and the prophet Ezekiel. God goes the distance to be with his people in exile like Christ's coming and enduring the cross to restore us to a latter glory that outshines the former glories. God was exiled to the land of Philistia in Samuel's day. Again, he joins his people in Babylon. Jesus endures death itself. Yet, Isa 40:3's prophecy is a promise of God's returning with his people reuniting with them in exile to bring them home.
