In this first of four mini-episodes, we look at introducing the story with Elijah in this saga as he turns the water off (no rain like it was in Genesis 2 akin to a new creation) and begins a 3-and-a-half-year famine due to King Ahab's turning to other gods via his foreign wife Jezebel akin to what we discovered previously in the Hosea saga with his wife Gomer as a model for what God endures with Israel similarly tasking her deep in the wilderness to strip her down and return her to her first love.
