Terri Odom’s heart of her adoption practice is to lovingly guide others through the challenging and risky roller coaster ride of adopting a child. As an attorney at Odom-Saska Adoptions, LLC, Terri has been practicing adoption law in Louisiana since 1986. She works with families through the entire process including filing the legal documents to facilitate the finalization of adoptions by the court. She works with her daughter Emily Saska on a wide-variety of adoptions ranging from private, intra-family, state agency, and adult adoptions. These women also tag team to look out for scams. When speaker and coach Missy Maxwell-Worton received an email from a neighbor asking for someone to host a child, she quickly replied. When Taylor and Melissa McKinney found out they couldn’t have children, Melissa was dead set on adopting. Taylor was not on the same page. Then suddenly everything changed when they attended a marriage conference and read the biography of a keynote speaker who just so happened to be on the board of a local adoption agency. Kent Philpott is the full-time pastor of Miller Avenue Church in Mill Valley, California. During his first week in ministry, over five decades ago, three men approached him and asked how they could be freed from the gay lifestyle. From the beginning, Kent knew his calling was to help homosexuals find hope and healing in Jesus Christ. He started a church back in the 1970s and weekly delivered solid Biblical messages to his congregation which mostly consisted of gays and lesbians. Kent then started counseling people who sought guidance on God’s design for sexuality. To this day, Kent is still devoted to pastoring his church, officiating weddings for former homosexuals, and is an author and host at Earthen Vessel Media.
