Sometimes building a business or dream of your own can feel like a pregnancy. The seed of the idea gets fertilized, goes through a gestation process where radical changes are taking place, then it’s time for that baby to be birthed. Just like in a pregnancy, there are some things you have control over, but majority of the transformation is happening with minimal action on your part until that baby is birthed.

The word “Failure” carries such negative energy for most people, especially if you were raised by parents with high or demanding expectations for you. Learning to embrace failure as part of the growth process has been one of the most liberating things I’ve ever done for myself. If you can learn to embrace failure as part of learning, you will start to shift your energy from fear to possibilities.

If you’ve seen the movie, The Matrix, then you probably remember the moment when Nero’s world was turned upside down or, more accurately, right side up. It began with a choice. He had to choose to find the truth about his life or continue living in status quo. Every day we can choose between the red pill or the blue pill. It’s always our choice. To try to build a business or dream from a place of desperation or scarcity is counterintuitive. You always want to build what you desire from a higher vibrational state.

A happy life is made up of thousands of happy moments. You can have a happy life day by day by day. You don’t need a special day to celebrate yourself. You can celebrate you any day, any time, starting today.

Every step in building a new business or dream is bound to be met by fears. Anytime you step into expanding your growth, you are stepping outside your comfort zone and into new uncharted territory, so fear is a natural response from your body. What trips most entrepreneurs up is they stop at the fear and resistance as a sign to not move forward. The best solution is to love and accept all aspects of your business-building, especially the fearful ones.

There are two versions within each and everyone of us. We’re either coming from a place of ego or we’re living from our higher selves. While ego is the condition most people are operating from, it’s limited and it hampers our success and slows down the speed our success manifests.

For many years, we’ve been conditioned to believe that sales, marketing, and lead generation strategies and tactics were what determined the success of a business. That may have been true a decade or two ago, but now as our world is being shaken to the core through pandemics and economic struggles, and wars, and supply-chain issues, and we’re realizing how little control we’ve really had, things are going to have to shift. All those strategies are based on scarcity mindset. But there’s a new more expansive consciousness seeking to emerge in all this. Now is the time to consider reevaluating your business from a more expansive consciousness.

With old antiquated systems falling apart, newer systems are rising up to keep up with our ever-evolving. Systems that refuse to change will be left in the dust because it’s simply not sustainable anymore. Are you open to changing and evolving yourself or are you committed to your old familiar patterns and systems?

Many entrepreneurs, myself included, start building a business and expect instant results. They’re not considering the training and development and preparation it takes to be a business owner. Much like a marathon runner needs training just to build the stamina to push the body that hard, so there is a mental stamina that you build if you build a business or dream of your own if you don’t give up. The true rewards are immeasurable.
