In this episode we talk about Running your own Race. Helping out as a coach, I used a little kid in my wrestling class as the context for the story. Many times, me included, we fall victim to the comparison game. Looking at someone else run their race, many times cripple you from running the race that is best suited for you.

This is a little dose of inspiration and some practicality for our audience.

This is a motivational rant for my creators for the week. When you look back on the course of your life you never want to have any regrets for not creating or building something that you probably have the unique talents and skills to manifest. Your dreams and aspirations will never stop. Many times outside influences and even ourselves say that we can’t express your creative powers. We could be our own roadblock to fully expressing those dreams.

Inspiration is always there, but it has to find you working.-Pablo Picasso

Artists in Solidarity

CHARITY ART AUCTION 8/15 to 8/28 We are a 501(c)3 nonprofit that stands with and supports migrant families and children who all deserve their chance to safely begin their American story and to be treated as human beings. The immigrant's plight in the US remains untenable, and we raise money through art auctions to support organizations that work to bring decency, compassion, and respect to the process.

Last year was our first auction. We saw charity art auctions last Summer and wondered why we couldn't find any auctions that supported migrants. So we organized our own. We raised over $5k and gave the money to @raicestexas and @borderangelsofficial. We hit the federal fundraising limit last year so we filed for 501(c)3 status. This will be our second auction, we're donating all profits to @alotrolado_org and @guerojusticiero .

Check out the auction here and help support!

This episode we talk with Stevie Ray, who you may famously know as one half of the 10x Tag Team World Champs Harlem Heat. But besides the accolades we talk more about the things he’s passionate about and who Stevie Ray really is and his mindset. He’s a pretty interesting character, who still continues to share his authenticity and make an impact with many African-American children to this day. It was truly an honor getting to speak with him and share in his journey.

If you want to deep dive into Stevie Ray’s world you can check him out on Facebook, Instagram and Youtube @TheRealStevieRay and his podcast The Stevie Ray Experience that’s available on Apple Podcast, Spotify, Heart and Google Play

This amazing episode we talk with Victoria McKellips, with the Oceanside Museum of Art. She shares how the OMA is redefining themselves as they are finding new avenues of bridging the gap between a sprawling and young creative community and its more established professionals. We talk about all the ups and downs of a creative, upcoming events with the OMA coming soon, and why it’s really alright to cry sometimes. This was a heartfelt episode and don’t be surprised if you shed a tear or two.
