The Creative Coping Podcast episodes

  • Rebuilding Roots with T.D. & Veronica Benton
The Benton's describe themselves as "musicianaries" - a term rather fitting for a couple who has given up on the "American Dream" and has taken a leap of faith by selling nearly everything they've owned, spending many years living out of an RV, relying on donations as they do not charge performance fee's all while traveling the world as a shock and roll band by the name of White Collar Sideshow.
Frontman/drummer TD says about their group, "We're just about loving on people and music is just a good excuse to do that." Their latest album is nearing completion and has once again been produced by Chris Baseford (Rob Zombie, Shinedown, Avril Lavigne). They have recently transitioned from a three-piece (sometimes four-piece) band to a duo so that is sure to effect the dynamics of their sound and performance. A new show is on the horizon but for now The Benton's are in preparation and patiently waiting for what lies ahead.
Immediately following this episode, listen to their song, "Tombstones for Eyes", a version of the song that was recorded from their time in Brazil.

  • Dismantling with Joey Monteleone
Joey Monteleone is the creator and host of The Dismantle Podcast; a show intended to create community, not converts. Building bridges and not barriers. On this episode we talk about the experiences that have enriched Joey's faith, how comic book movies influenced him to start his first podcast, and how we both are making the shows we want to listen to. In regards to the content that he creates, Joey says, "It's not my job to defend my worldview, it's my job to expand my mind and learn and hopefully the listeners can do that as well."

  • Ravaging & Restoring with Jeremiah Dirt
With a career span of over twenty years, Jeremiah Dirt is an artist who has attained an impressive repertoire of content including the release of his latest album, “The Rebel Lion”, a production of thought-provoking lyricism accompanied by music best described as, “reggae-infused hip-hop”.
On this episode, we chat about Dirt's interesting upbringing, Hip-Hop culture, his lyrics, hustling as an independent artist, and how Top Ramen is something we don't want to feed our kids.

  • Pop Culture & Purpose with Jeremy Neal
Jeremy Neal happens to be one of the funniest guys I know so it's no surprise that there a lot of laughs throughout our conversation. He is a talented drummer, writer, but most importantly, a committed husband and father who is finding his purpose through his faith. Jeremy also recounts the moments where his life was changed when his son was diagnosed with Alagille syndrome at birth. Hear what gets him through even the darkest of days.

  • The Pomodoro Technique
Time - something we just never have enough of and when it comes to setting some aside for ourselves to get creative, we can feel selfish for doing so. We can begin to envy others and critique their accomplishments even when we have the same or more resources at our fingertips. In the words of Austin Kleon, "It seems contradictory, but when it comes to creative work, limitations mean freedom."
