In this episode we explore the power of creative ritual, offering a doorway to the kind of work, and creative flow-state, we are looking to access. Featuring Damon Albarn, Chantal Joffe, Chris Ofili, and Joan Miró - this podcast will take you on a journey into creative ritual, and how adopting certain ways of working, can help us feel more satisfied and in love, with our creative life (for good).

Hey, and thanks for opening this one.
Sometimes for those of us who publish work online, there can be a trend to try and say things are easy.
Just 5 quick steps or tricks to complete, and you’ll be done. Do this once, this fool-proof method for assured success, and you’ll be complete, signed-off, invulnerable to pain or failure or doubt of any kind for good.
But this piece is not about anything like that. What I’m talking about - in short - is the necessity to try and make decisions at every level, that are congruent with the work you want to make.
As I say, it’s simple really, and beautiful too, because when we can find the eye of that needle, and execute on threading it, everything else - the nerves, the self doubt, the lack of purpose, the procrastination - all that will pretty much just fall away.
Pls enjoy. And for interview source material, please jump over to the Inside Creative Minds Substack page, which is the host and reference point for every clip that I've sampled here.
Shouts to the person who emailed me the other day, telling me I needed to buy their product, because my views on my Youtube channel were falling right, and surely I must be desperate - feeling in need - not enough perhaps?
No close friend, that is not what I feel.
This community is here for the long term, and my passion and love for the work I do here goes right to the core of why I get up in the morning. Making these recent pieces, and writing more on the newsletter, has left me feeling really satisfied with where my work is going. It’s a privilege to be moving into the new space of this podcast, and to have the freedom to explore in the audio only format too.
Enough said, and I hope you enjoy this piece. Sending power to you for your work this week.

This is a more developed version of the written article I brought out recently, now in beautiful audio with artist clips to provide more depth. I hope some people enjoy the work here - and if you’d prefer to see the video version, head over to the Creative Minds Youtube, where' the video will be launching today.
Thanks as always for being here,
Will
Can you help support this work? I believe Creative Minds is inherently more valuable if everyone can access everything for free. But I’m balancing building this and paying my bills, and need your help to keep growing this. I get messages every week from people who say my work is helping them move forward with their projects and feel better about their journey and wellbeing around their creative life. If you can support here, and you think this kind of work matters, please consider dropping me that help, and be part of the engine that allows me to continue this. Peace & speak soon, Will.
Hey, and thanks for opening this one. I hope some people can enjoy this through the podcast now if they prefer too.
I just watched the interview back with Carlos, and I was inspired myself. He talks about surprising himself with his music, and approaching the creative journey with a positive mindset.
His journey with guitar started at 48, and he followed his passion for music into group learning and performance - both solo and with a band. Overall, just a great conversation. And please do go check out the songs we discuss at the end too.

Hey,
And thanks for opening this one. I’m pushing to make this weekly here now and am super happy to see people listening along and getting value from these pieces.
IT’S HAPPENING - I have a specific focus for series 3 of the CM Conversations, and with your support and engagement here, I’ve been able to approach some really great organisations and companies that are facilitating and supporting creatives IRL.
Every review left on your chosen podcast platform, increases my weight when I approach someone to try and grab a conversation - so please do drop a review if you can.
Speak soon, and I hope some people get some value from this one,
Will
P.S. If you enjoyed this conversation with GOGO, come find the full video conversation and all the links here.

Hey,
This is a more developed audio version of the popular newsletter post from earlier this month. I hope there’s no confusion when a similar titled piece drops in your email box, and please let me know if there was… I’ll find another way around next time.
Mostly, I just hope you dig what I’ve done with the written piece, when taking it into audio. And if you do enjoy this, please drop a like or let me know (it matters). I’m trying to diversify from Youtube at the moment, whilst continuing to serve the audience there, in order to allow me to create more interesting and varied work on Creative Minds in the future.
I hope this comes across, peace, and speak soon,
Will
The Creative Minds Podcast is beautiful thing, and it’s inherently better if it’s free for everyone. But doing this needs your help. If you have the money to support the work here for everyone who gets value from it, consider doing so. It matters.
A lot of work & hustle to get this together, and listening to it this morning, I really enjoy how it all just fades into a simple and relaxed conversation between two people who really (really) like making things.
If you give this a chance, I think a lot of creatives will enjoy this one. And if you do enjoy it, go and check out the album, and consider sharing the conversation with a fellow maker/artist too.
Peace, and thanks as always for being around,
Will

This podcast covered my interview with Q Garçons from the CM Conversations. Dude is hungry and the energy is great to hear.
There’s also a little update here about my recent work with Universal Music, which has definitely been a move, and something that’s evolving in an interesting way…
