Good morning everyone! This is Saturday’s start! I hope you all are enjoying your beautiful Saturday! I know I am! I started my morning at 6am with a gym workout and a stop at Starbucks. Got home and showered and made my oatmeal. Since it is Saturday, that means I have to weigh myself. The scale was good to me and I am about 15lbs away from my first target. Yesterday I was able to finish editing and exporting my new vlog but I did not uploaded it. So this morning I got to it and it is now live, please check it out on Youtube search Alondra Lopez Designs. I have a busy day today because its my niece’s birthday party and I will be taking photos so I wanted to start my day early and get as much done before. Last Friday I invited you all to do something that is not part of your normal routine and that makes you uncomfortable. How did you do? Mine was to update my resume and apply for new work.I did updated my resume but failed to apply anywhere. I did do the search and got idea of what is currently available. There are a few places I am interested in. So this week I invite you to go over what we talked about last week and let me know if you did anything out of the normal. Thursday’s Photography Tip is on black & white photos. There are two options you can use to create a B&W photo. The first is to convert the image to B&W in post processing. This is the most common one and you have the option of keeping both the color version and the B&W version. The second option, and I think this is the best option in giving you a truer B&W photo is to set your camera to monochrome. With this setting your image will be taken in B&W so there is no post processing conversion needed. The down side is that you won’t have the color photo, but if your intent is to capture a B&W then you don’t need the color version. This is just a tip/opinion, you can choose whatever option is best for you. If you are not expanding you are contracting. You need targets, a reason and goals. We need a reason to wake up every morning and make some kind of impact on this world and those around us even if it’s a small contribution. You should have different targets and goals for all areas of your life, right now my 2 main categories are health and fitness and career advancements. I suggest you buy a note book and start writing down what is important to you, and take action towards expanding your current situation. As a student of photography and aspiring photographer it brings me so much joy to be able to have the power of capturing life’s most memorable moments. Photography is like having a super power thanks to our cameras.

The nice thing about having digital cameras is that you can shoot all you want. Today you have no limit, if you make a mistake that’s ok, take another picture. My tip for you aspiring photographers is to get out there and shoot. We make choices from the moment we wake up to the moment we go to sleep. Throughout your day you will have to make many choices and each choice you make will determine the kind of day you will have.
