  • Mary Tear from Colours of Sheffield

Today I have an interview with Mary a creative soul who runs a project called Colours of Sheffield. I know Mary from my time at University where we both studied law and although we never really had the chance to properly become friends while we were there she was someone I admired from afar and via Instagram because I could see that she was someone who liked to do a lot of things and was also really passionate about creativity. So I did my classic, slid into her DMs and asked if she was up for coming on the podcast to talk more about her colours of Sheffield project and creativity and productivity in general, which thankfully she was!

Despite a few sound issues it’s great episode where we got to talk all about our need to be creative in some way, getting curious with our creativity and the drive to keep trying new things and how important it is for us to stay productive and organised in order to make space for creative time that can put us back in touch with our true selves.

Make sure to follow Mary on her ColoursofSheffield Instagram account to see some beautiful pictures of colours perfectly matched up to her beloved Sheffield! You can also shop her range of prints and totes on her Etsy shop here.

  • Laura Holmes Life & Confidence Coach
Today I have an interview with Laura Holmes who is a life and confidence coach working from beautiful Bali. Laura has a background in psychology and came to life coaching fairly recently after working with her own coach to figure out what her ideal career was and what she was meant to be doing!

We had a really great chat about life coaching, being labelled as academic rather than creative, the rewards of building a community as part of a business, getting out of the trap of being 'busy and dealing with the 'shiny magpie' trap of productivity!

If you're curious about what it's like to work with a coach and the kind of work a life coach does it's a really great listen - and Laura is just generally a lovely positive encouraging person!

You can follow Laura on Instagram @lauraholmescoaching and check out her website lauraholmescoaching.com and her free facebook group Fill Your Teacup where you can take advantage of some of her wonderful free workshops!

Remember to follow me on Instagram @stationerymagpie where you can see everything I'm getting up to (including some funny reels) and check out my website for free resources blog posts and more information about my creativity and productivity mentoring services!

  • Amber Bongartz from The Flower and the Flea

Today is an interview with Amber Bongartz of The Flower and the Flea! We met through the Self Belief Sessions (like quite a few of my guests) and after connecting through instagram and voice messaging each other we became firm friends. It was wonderful to watch Amber's business grow and then take off with alarming speed so I'm so glad she was able to sit down and have a chat with me about everything creative and productive.

Amber is a creative by nature and has started up a few creative ventures in her time but it was the flower and the flea her jewellery business making flower charms out of antique beaded trivets that has really taken off. She shares why she thinks it’s done so well and how she’s been learning to juggle her creative business and stay productive as well as being a mum to a baby.

It’s a really great interview and a good one to listen to if you have your own passion project you’ve been putting off!

  • Salvaging your 2021 Goals
Yes, I know 2021 hasn't quite been the fresh start we were hoping for but there's no reason we have to put all our goals on hold any longer. We can still make (even small) progress that will help us get closer to our end goal despite everything going on.

After figuring out which goals we really want to pursue and have a strong reason for pursuing we're going to ask ourselves 3 simple questions to make sure it's easy to make progress:
    1. What's getting in my way
    2. What's in my control
    3. What can I adjust/what action can I take based on what's in my control?

Want to learn more about a planning system that will help you to get on track with your goals? I'm running 2 Get Started with Bullet Journaling Workshops on the 26th and 27th of January! Get your place here.
