12.12.19 I left the house to take my ex to work and my whole life changed in the space of half an hour. 4 years of literal blood, sweat and tears. I never knew what was coming that day and it has taken me a lot of work to get to the point I am at today. I hope you enjoy the format I took for this episode, it is actually one I am extremely proud of.

I recorded this a couple of months ago, but life got in the way and my mental health took a dip, but it's here at last!
This episode of the Cripple Chronicles, I wanted to talk about the things that are in place to make my life more accessible as an ambulatory wheelchair user. I had my leg amputated in 2022 after a car accident at the end of 2019. I got this idea from a short video I had seen on instagram and then in the next episode I want to talk about when things aren't accessible.

This episode of the Cripple Chronicles, I touch on what has been happening mentally with me for the past few weeks while I haven't been keeping up with uploads. In the time that I have been away, I celebrated the first year since having my leg amputated and the things I have been able to achieve in that year. Enjoy!
P.s - I noticed when editing that I had said Burger Island didn't have a toilet, it might, it just couldn't see it and didn't ask..

This episode I get into talking about where I am at with some struggles in my recovery with a couple of appointments I had in the last week. And then I had a bit of a rant about health services and the government following some discussions I've had with friends over the past few weeks.

This episode I get into talking about my second and third year of uni and the challenges I faced with nearly being kicked out and told I would possibly need to go in front of an NMC board for misconduct. I didn't even know if I was going to be able to graduate. I also wanted to touch on the reasonings of why I feel like I can't go back to working in nursing with the current system we have in place in the UK.

I decided that I wanted to chat a bit about life before the accident and the three years before where I felt like I had to really fight with myself and the uni to get my degree and my registration as a nurse. I realised I had a lot more to say than I initially thought so pls tune in to the next episode to hear the rest of the journey.
