HOUR ONE PLAY HARD: Jason Spiess and Sterling are close to getting caught up, after a week on the road, with the morning show in another “Time Masheene” edition.
Jason pontificates early about the cool factor, or lack of cool factor, Winger had the second Stuart from Beevis and Butthead wore their T-Shirt. Sterling ran with this theme into other areas involving Stryper and Rock Band Churches.
Next the two discussed the growing concern with Siri and Alexa. Jason is noticing how Siri is changing correctly spelled words now and directing my texts into directions I hadn’t thought of.
Sterling shared a story about a conversation his family had about getting a cat. The next time he went to his phone, there was cat ads now in his ad space. Jason responds with an Alexa is listening story of his own.
The morning show then talks about an increasing issue in travel – hidden cameras. Travelers of AirBnB formats and traditional hotels are now being warned to be aware of hidden cameras and new language in contracts involving their surveying you during your stay for your safety and property surveillance.
Zombie Wells are in the news down in Texas. Sterling cites stats from three sources involving Zombie Wells specifically in the Permian. The article never actually defines what a Zombie Well is and associates them with Abandoned and Orphan wells. However, a Zombie Well is a well where the operator is paying only the interest. Jason speculates if there are 7,000-plus Zombie Wells in the Permian, there will be some bankruptcies in the near future.
