Here we go with another Broken Realms tome...this one is a true winner...especially in my book!  We start with a look at Belakor and his Legion, followed by a great time with a treasure trove of new Nighthaunt tools.  I am really looking forward to giving some of this stuff a go on the table.  We then move into the other factions that received some goodies in the book.  Our coverage of Warhammer Fest starts on Tuesday, since we wanted to save the best for last...Monday was Kragnos and Soulblight!  We took a guess at Saturday while we were recording (we recorded Saturday from 10am until about 1pm), and Brendan called it with the first look at Sigmar 3.0.  I came in a close second (and a day early) with my prediction of Soulblight preorders...at least I got the date right (May 15)!

So we recorded this episode TWICE...once yesterday, and again today!  Same show, different day!  Despite the anger of the Machine Spirits, we finally got the episode to press, and are happy to bring you our first tournament/event recap in a VERY long time...Nodepticon 2021!  Brendan put together a great event, and we will be providing our recounting of battles won and lost, as well as commentary of the event in general, including awards.  We also spend a bit of time reviewing Cursed City Warscrolls, which will probably not be seen much on competitive tables, but may well be a popular choice in the narrative scene.  Most importantly, a SPOILER ALERT for Scriptorium, as we will be revealing the identity of the Yellow King!  We also go out of character and rant a bit in the early moments of Whispers.

The blood thirsty Lords of the Grave are in the pipe... five by five!  What an amazing preview, with so many fine models, with more to surely come.  We also got a "mystery" Mortal Realms story, and some 40K thrown in for good measure.  Our main discussion is thoughts we have about what we would like to see in Sigmar 3.0...whenever that gets here.  Dan, what are you thinking?!  Brendan tries to keep me on the true path by serving generous portions of sanity checks.  But agree or disagree, we had a great time throwing ideas around and talking about our favorite gaming system.  Finally, Dan throws down a prediction of who the ominous presence know as the Yellow King (or King in Yellow) might be.

Another Battletome to review, and this one is bigger than the last!  We pull no punches on this one...truly the good, the bad, and the ugly.  It is still an interesting book, and we find plenty to enjoy, with a few questionable entries in between.  But don't take my word for it.  Dive in and find out what we have to say!  We also have a rather large new release section in Scriptorium...Black Library has been very busy in the last several weeks.  Give it a listen and see if you can find something of interest.

It's the holiday season...so we thought we would do something completely unrelated...our version of the famous book Sun Tzu's Art of War!  We put a Age of Sigmar twist on things, and do so by selecting specific concepts from the book (we don't want to get too far into the weeds!).  We intro each by giving some real world context to the idea, then we translate the concept to the tabletop.  It's amazing how much we use Sun Tzu's basic ideas when we play with our war dollies!  Otherwise, we want to thank each one of you for listening and being part of our craziness...you have made 2020 a great year for us.  Thank you for your support.
