The Cutting Mat Podcast

Premonition Of Paint is back and the boys are talking about oil and how it may be your new favorite go-to paint for tiny ork dudes! Oh yeah make sure to check out MarcoFrisoniNJM on YouTube

Brandon has a cult, Joel keeps trying to promote his truck nuts and we talk about perspective and how it's a major part of your hobby. From putting failures into perspective to setting your expectations way too high. Learn how the different sides of your brain work with the boyz.

Sometimes hobbies can be a cluster fuck of roads.....or something like that. We sit down and talk about branching out and where the hobby cycle can lead you. In this kinda casual conversation, we talk about the one thing that brought us to all kinds of different roads.

Brandon, Joel, and Phil sit down and talk about some of the differences between Gunpla and Miniatures. Not just that one is a small-big-but-small robot and one is very small people. We get into the actual differences and the crossover between these great hobbies.

The boys sit down and go over S.M.A.R.F.T and then the podcast turns into a horny self-improvement podcast? Is this normal?

We get back into the podcast with kinda a heavy hitter for some. We hope that this discussion will open some eyes, make some of you step back, and honestly just help you enjoy your free time doing this hobby. We are talking about the Celebration Of Mediocrity and the role it plays in this hobby, community, and general life. So sit down, crack open a kit and join us on The Cutting Mat.

Premonition Of Paint is back and we are joined by our newest member, Phil! Phil (@phil_builds_stuff) is an amazing artist and well seasoned miniature painting. Phil is invested in making hobbies fun and creative again. Let's make some weird art and talk about painting little dudes!

The boys are back and 6 feet apart. Welcome to the Comfort Zone. This episode we are talking about expanding your hobby and reaching outside what you are used too. We talk a little bit about Doing It Badly and what it really means. Hope you enjoy this episode!
