On this episode we sit down to chat with Evan MacDonald, owner of The Wheeled Brew and The Wheeled Brew Bottle Shop, Barrie's newest spot for the best Craft beer in Ontario! 

Tune in as we chat about Evan's journey from enjoying craft beer to creating The Wheeled Brew mobile bar and then into the bottle shop. The Wheeled Brew is very unique in that they use these gorgeous mid century trucks fitted with draft systems to provide a one of a kind event catering option!

Evan tells how this experience, and working with so many amazing breweries across Ontario sparked his next venture into the Craft Bottle Shop in downtown Barrie. The response from the community has been amazing, and given that Barrie has always been known as a Molson town, it's very pleasing to see how many people are coming into the shop to buy and try!

We also ask what beer you would bring to the first concert you ever went to in The Hop Seat, and Evan speaks some truth on consumer loyalty in the Craft Beer community which made us laugh so hard cause it's so true!

On this episode of the Four Elements Podcast we sit down for a fantastic chat with Mary Beth, Head Brewer/Owner, of The Granite Brewery and Tied House in Toronto! 

 

The Granite Brewery has been family owned and operated, in the same location, since 1991, and continues to brew some beers that were being brewed 30 years ago! Mary Beth tells us all about her experiences coming to the brewery as a kid helping out and how those paved the way for her passion for brewing and beer! 

 

Find out about the unique open fermentation style beers that Mary Beth is brewing at 245 Eglington Ave E, and the really cool Ringwood yeast that Granite has been using since opening. Mare mentioned that they are currently on their 1100th pitch of the same yeast! Talk about heirloom beer!

 

We learn about their FVX Series of beers which is their closed fermenter series, including the Brand New Day NEIPA and a recent released Irish Red Ale. Look for some amazing brews coming from this series!

On this episode we sit down with Andrew Bartle from Junction Craft Brewery located at 150 Symes Rd. in Toronto.

 

Tune in as we learn all about Junction Craft Brewery, their different brands like Caribu and how they work with many different breweries in both partnership and contract brewing capacities. On this episode we are joined by Sarabeth and Sean Holden, owners of Red Tape Brewery in Toronto's East End. Red Tape is a Bespoke brewery focused on creating a unique experience for your events by working with customers to create a special beer for those special occasions.

 

Tune in as Sarabeth and Sean tell us about their very recent opening, how they had to innovate and update their plan to accommodate the COVID 19 Restrictions which included canning 100% of their beer, which was never in the plans! We also learn about the Bespoke Brewing process and what goes into creating Bespoke beers for their customers!

The project also aims to raise awareness to  Missing and Murdered Indigenous Girls, Women and 2 Spirit.
