Gen. 3:13
13 And the LORD God said to the woman, "What is this you have done?" The woman said, "The serpent deceived me, and I ate."
EVE: NOT MY FAULT
IT is the SERPENT
A culture is now being formed whenever something goes wrong in our lives, we attribute it to:
-God (the inevitable)
-Man (Family, spouse , bosses, teachers, race, colour, country continent etc)
-Devil (superstition, witchcraft, demons, luck, fate etc.)
The main question is always:
WHY IS THIS HAPPENING TO ME?
We should learn to ask a better question:
WHY IS THIS HAPPENING? (Remove ME from the question)
It is important to note at this point that God IS NOT BEING INFORMED about what happened, he is well aware he is simply bringing man into the full realization of what has actually occurred due to his actions.
Gen. 3:14
14 So the LORD God said to the serpent: "Because you have done this, You are cursed more than all cattle, And more than every beast of the field; On your belly you shall go, And you shall eat dust All the days of your life.
Note that God has NO QUESTION for the serpent just judgement and it is important to know that God is NOT addressing a reptile per say even though it was a vehicle used by the enemy and therefore there was a consequence to being the conveyer we have to go beyond the material to the spiritual addressee, the devil.
This becomes more apparent in verse 15:
SERPENT:
You shall crawl on your belly (maybe it had feet before?-not important to our topic)
YOU SHALL EAT DUST, ALL THE DAYS OF YOUR LIFE.
Do serpents eat DUST?
DUST symbolizes HUMILIATION and INSIGNFICANCE, it is also a picture of DROUGHT.
It is also a picture of WORTHLESSNESS something in abundance that has VALUE.
This is a pointer to the final outcome of ANY Structure or Vehicle that embodies the Voice of the enemy.
Gen. 3:15
15 And I will put enmity Between you and the woman, And between your seed and her Seed; He shall bruise your head, And you shall bruise His heel."
You realise when it comes to serpents they are not only enemies of women and friends of men right?
This was a Prophecy that basically is saying:
Since you used a woman to deceive and bring destruction, I will use a woman to bring forth your desctruction:
1.Notice the odd term used “Her Seed”
Do women have seed?
Notice the use of the term your seed small “s” and her Seed “capital “S”
This is the FIRST prophecy of CHRIST being born of a Virgin
2.He not “they” shall bruise your head and you shall bruise His heel.
Please not that “His” is capitalized, we are dealing with CHRIST here, God is already revealing the LAST ADAM.
The imagery of bruising the head symbolizes a fatal and final destruction, while bruising the heel represents temporary damage.
Jesus, as the Seed of the woman, fulfills this prophecy by triumphing over Satan through His crucifixion and resurrection, ultimately crushing the power of sin and death.
This verse highlights the ongoing spiritual battle between Satan and humanity, with Jesus emerging as the ultimate victor who grants victory to all who believe in Him.
God continues to outline the CONSEQUENCES and NOT PUNISHMENTS that will now follow.
