As The D's 179th Editorial Directorate departs, and the 180th enters, Levi and co. sat down with each of the former executives -- Emily Lu (00:58), Mia Russo (15:24), Andrew Sasser (28:55), and Lauren Adler (37:07) -- to say thank you and goodbye. Congratulations on all that you have accomplished during your tenure! We love and appreciate you, 179! Cheers to another successful year at The Dartmouth.

Every weekend during the winter, Dartmouth students venture through the brisk winds of Hanover to party at fraternities. Of course, for warmth, they bring a jacket -- better known as a frat jacket or "fracket." Normally, this is a more disposable article of winter garb in case of the unfortunate event that someone steals it. This has become an odd ritual at Dartmouth: fracket theft. Someone takes a jacket, then that person takes a different jacket, and so on. It's a never-ending cycle of thievery. In this special issue episode of The D-Brief, host Levi Port walks us through the phenomenon of frackets at Dartmouth College.

During the first episode back on campus this winter, Jack Coleman and Eliana Stanford listen to the debate revolving around the removal of Dartmouth's swim test as well as the new Student Support Network program added this spring.

This week's episode of The D: Briefed took a look back at some stories from the term that deserved to be explored in greater depth. We first got the bottom of the question of "Does Dartmouth recycle?", then talked about the effort to bring back native pollinators into the Upper Valley, and finally discussed the disappointing football season for the Big Green and what needs to change for next season. 

Every Fall since 1888, Dartmouth has constructed a towering monument to the incoming class: the homecoming bonfire. In recent years, the traditions surrounding the event as well as the structure of the fire itself have been taken in a new, safer direction. On this episode of The D-Brief we spoke to Hanover residents and Fire Chief Martin McMillan to better understand the push for change. We then sat down with News Associate Editor Adriana James-Rodill to discuss how this fire compares to previous years; and finally, rounded up some '26s for their firsthand impressions of the blaze.

This week, Heath Monsma and Ella Von Baeyer dove into the following articles from The D:  First, the portrayal of serial killers in the media (specifically in response to Monster: The Jeffery Dahmer Story). Then, an opinion piece arguing for Dartmouth's ban on freshman entering greek spaces to be extended. And finally we revisited the college's teletherapy initiative with a focus on the role of student leaders in its implementation.

In the first episode of The D:Briefed, a weekly rundown from The Dartmouth's best podcast, co-hosts Heath Monsma and Ella von Baeyer spoke to the writers who tackled campus' biggest news stories. These included the college's new partnership with the teletherapy service Uwill, the shrinking endowment, and Maḏayin, the Hood Museum's new instillation of aboriginal Australian bark painting.

Every Spring, Dartmouth College hosts the Green Key concert: a weekend-long festival of music, food, and partying. For students, this means a much-need break from the library... and a lot more sex, drugs, and rock'n'roll. Students, alumni, and faculty all mark their calendars for this specific Dartmouth tradition. In its first episode ever, The D-Brief explores the fascination of the holy Green Key weekend and how it came into existence at all.
