Vera Drew is a filmmaker, Emmy-nominated editor, and the star of her upcoming movie, “The People’s Joker.” She’s also a fellow podcaster, known for her acclaimed shows, “Welcome to Jackass”, and “Hot Topics with Vera Drew.” It’s my honor to have her on the show to discuss “The People’s Joker” as well as her editing and directing work on Tim Heidecker’s most recent comedy special (“An Evening with Tim Heidecker” on Youtube), as well as on so many other Abso Lutely produced projects. If you’re a fan of that company like I am, then Vera has helped to make you laugh many times. We talk about the importance of “flawed representation,” why some friendships start out with both parties being nervous about each other, and why Jackass is more emotionally complex than you remember it being.

Writer/Comedian Joey Clift joins the show to talk about eating lasagna like Garfield, Mr. Beast’s new restaurant, and a wild sounding script which earned Joey recognition from The Indigenous List. Mazri was well-known as the proprietor and promoter of a Garfield-based (pick-up and delivery only) restaurant. His restaurant has recently closed and a few weeks later, he announced a food line with a new licensed character: SCOOBY DOO. Michael and Joey take a while to process this news and do not hold back!

Nikki and Tadd Good (First Time? Podcast) join us for a SURPRISE Holiday episode of ITPNT. This is a very special last episode of the year since Nikki and Tadd both are a huge part of why I started this podcast. Tadd is the host of the “First Time?” podcast where he and a guest try something for the first time.
