Tonight, the Dads crack open a couple of ice cold Hazy Bones IPA from the Flying Fish Brewing Co., from Somerdale, NJ. A very tasty beer, that Rich even says is one of the best beers Josh has grabbed recently. Salivating. The show progresses to the weekly catch-up, where Josh says he's looking to get back into working out and get to feeling good again, meanwhile Rich talks about his daughter's graduation to a toddler bed. Really?

The show then transitions to An Aware Dad, with a reading from 'The Daily Dad', written by Ryan Holiday. Tonight's reading was titled January 7, They Learn From Home. Be sure to listen to this week's insightful reading. The show then progresses to the topic of the week.

Education, Smeducation: If you’re a millennial, Gen X or even a Gen Z, it was probably made a high priority for you to go to college and get higher education. Join us tonight as we immerse ourselves into the topic of pressure to go to college, the impacts it may have, and the dilemma it has left our current, younger, society in – between work shortages in certain areas of our workforce, to a multi-billion dollar revenue machine for college loans.

After an exchange of some in-depth conversation and questions, the show progresses to their "Shit-uations". Tonight's Shit-uations has Josh reading blurbs from FML.com.

This week's tape has the Dads drinking another Octoberfest beer, but this one is from another local brewery the Dads tried before, Bonesaw Brewing Company. The Bonetoberfest was a very tasty and scrumptious fall beer, and as Rich describes will be great for when the kids trick or treat. The show then transitions to the weekly catch-up, where Rich had a rough time sending his son off to school while Josh is just copying and pasting his schedule. Smh..

The show then transitions to An Aware Dad, with a reading from 'The Daily Dad', written by Ryan Holiday. Tonight's reading was titled January 6: Hang Their Pictures on Your Walls? A moving and eloquent speech from Zelenskyy. The show then progresses to the main topic of the night.

Micromasteries Of Dad: What is micromastery, and how does it help you as a dad? Though the word isn’t a defined word, there are a few pieces of work on micromastery and the art of it. Tonight we will jump into what the term means, how it affects us as dads and how we can just become better men overall with this technique.

After an exchange of some in-depth conversation and questions, the show progresses to their "Shit-uations". Tonight's Shit-uations has Josh reading blurbs from FML.com.

The Dads started their night with a visit to one of their other favorite breweries, Kane Brewing Company with their tasty Sideshore Pilsner. Goes down easy like most pilsners but has a nice full body compared to most pilsners that come off a bit lighter. The show then progresses to the weekly catch-up, where Rich talks about summer is spiraling to an end with school occurring for his son very soon. Meanwhile, Josh goes on about work and just chopping logs. Copy+paste for him, again. Sigh.

The show then transitions to An Aware Dad, with a reading from 'The Daily Dad', written by Ryan Holiday. Tonight's reading was titled January 5: Which Will It Be? With a very enlightening and heavy quote from Bruce Springsteen, both dads agree that they need to maintain their focus on becoming ancestors, and not ghosts. The show then progresses to the weekly topic...

Conspiracy Manhood: The attack on your manhood and the disempowerment of men and masculinity by terms like “toxic masculinity” and the one-sided “icks” in modern, younger, society. Join us as we discuss this topic and share some insight, statistics and research on the subject.

After an exchange of some in-depth conversation and questions, the show progresses to their "Shit-uations". Tonight's Shit-uations has Josh reading blurbs from FML.com.

To start this weeks episode off, the Dads had another one of Josh's beloved breweries, Cape May Brewing Co. out of Cape May, NJ. Josh's beer of choice was the Oktoberfest -- isn't it a bit soon to be busting out the fall beers? Regardless, both Dads agreed this took them by surprise and they are now ready for crunchy leaf season! The show then transitions to the weekly catch-up, where Josh brags about going to his first ever Eagles game, and spending time with his girlfriend from FL. Meanwhile, Rich is just preparing the mundane routine to transform into the school-ready routine.

The show then transitions to the newly dubbed segment: Time to be an aware Dad, with a reading from 'The Daily Dad', written by Ryan Holiday. Tonight's reading was titled January 4: Show Them How To Keep Their Cool. Both Dads discuss how important it is to maintain that level-headed approach when slammed with a high-stress, high-anxious moment. The show then progresses to the weekly topic...

Opinions Are Like A**holes: We’ve all had someone tell us how we aren’t doing this right as a parent, or we aren’t doing that right as a parent. However, the only people that are in the know for you and your family are just that – those in the know. Tonight we discuss how we as Dads handle those unsolicited parenting tips.

After an exchange of some in-depth conversation and questions, the show progresses to their "Shit-uations". Tonight's Shit-uations has Josh reading blurbs from FML.com.

This week, the Dads cracked a couple of Cape May White wheat beer, with a 5/2% ABV from Josh's favorite Cape May Brewing Co. Both agree this Belgian-style ale is not for them but give credit to the brewers and their renowned name -- just not for this beer. The show then progresses to the weekly catch-up where Josh is only focused on his impending visit from his Florida-based girlfriend just days away. Meanwhile, Rich is happier than a pig in mud over the fact that the solar panels on his roof are finally on and activated. Tell me you're a dad without telling me you're a dad...

The show then transitions to the newly dubbed segment: Time to be an aware Dad, with a reading from 'The Daily Dad', written by Ryan Holiday. Tonight's reading was titled January 3: Their Faults Are Your Faults. The Dads discuss what this means to them as fathers, with the focus of the reading displaying little ones mimic behaviors down to a T. The show then progresses to the topic and the data dump.

The Wheels On The Bus: Fatherhood is filled with a plethora of emotional moments – good and bad and the same scenario may invoke different emotions for different dads. Tonight, we’re going to discuss the trails and tribulations your little one may face in addition to the overwhelming emotions we may face as fathers and parents. Join us as we delve into this topic and try to grow as fathers and men.

After an exchange of some in-depth conversation and questions, the show progresses to their "Shit-uations". Tonight's Shit-uations has Josh reading blurbs from FML.com.

This week's drink that the Dads shared was an Alien Church IPA from the Tired Hands Brewing Company, with their start coming from the Philadelphia, PA area. This beer has a heavy 7% ABV with a full body, hopsy taste that isn't overwhelming. The Dads then transitioned to the weekly catch-up portion of the show. Rich's son Declan has now learned to ride a bike with two wheels -- we all know that accomplishing feeling. Meanwhile, Josh is counting down the days until his FL-based romance makes her appearance in NJ.

The show then transitions to the newly dubbed segment: Time to be an aware Dad, with a reading from 'The Daily Dad', written by Ryan Holiday. Tonight's reading was titled January 2: Never Let Them See You Act Like This. Both Dads agree the significance of the reading and the profoundness it has, especially for Josh who has been going through some things recently. The show then progresses to the topic and the data dump.

One Fish Two Fish: Going from one child to a second, or more, is said to be the hardest leap. You’re now in a 1:1 ratio with your children at best. However, are there benefits to having multiple children for the betterment of the children, outside of just having built-in playmates? The other side of the token is exploring and navigating this modern world of dating with a child and the potential to make and start a new, blended, family. Delve with us into these questions as we try to explore them.

After some interesting dialogue and discussions about the situations the Dads have found themselves in with modelling behaviors and words to their children, the show progresses to their "Shit-uations".

Tonight's Shit-uations has Josh reading FMLs from FML.com. He really focused on some spicy and risque situations the posters have found themselves in.

This week the Dads decided to sample another brew from Workhorse Brewing Company, which is located out of King of Prussia, PA. The beer they sipped tonight was Workhorse's Par Punch Juicy Ale, which is a juicy ale with a 5% ABV. Though it's not the best beer from this brewer, it's definitely a tasty beer for a golf day -- exactly what it's advertised for! The Dads then proceed with their weekly catch-up where Josh goes on and on about how he's missing his new love (gag me) and Rich goes on about the same job stuff. Smh.

The show then transitions to the newly dubbed segment: Time to be an aware Dad, with a reading from 'The Daily Dad', written by Ryan Holiday. Tonight's reading was titled January 1: A Little Fellow Follows You. The Dads then discuss the significance of this reading and what it means to them as not only men but as fathers.

When Kids Become Parrots: We all have memories of being children and mocking or copying people and peers just to get a rise out of them. At that time, we weren’t aware of how far that behavior superseded our memories and was the foundation for how we interacted with not only our peers at that time but our peers in the future. Tonight, we’re going to discuss some personal experiences on mimicking and how we as fathers need to set an example to our children by modeling the appropriate and proper behaviors.

After some interesting dialogue and discussions about the situations the Dads have found themselves in with modelling behaviors and words to their children, the show progresses to their "Shit-uations".

  • National Lampoon Vacation

    Send us a text

This week the Dads met with a brew from Kane Brewing Company out of Ocean, NJ. It was their tasty Party Wave IPA. Another good brew from Kane Brewing Company, both Dads agree that the beer is another staple in their long list of staple beers. Smh. The Dads then transition to the weekly catchup where Rich talks about the fun 5th birthday party for his son Declan, meanwhile Josh reflects on his vacation time and the start of his new relationship.

The show then transitions to reading from their handy-dandy Dad guide,  ‘Be Prepared: A Practical Handbook for New Dads’. The reading tonight is about Camping With Your Cub, and the dads discuss some of the items the guide recommends -- like keeping your baby away from bears. Didn't know that had to be said, but we guess so.

National Lampoons Vacation: As the leaders of our family, there is a lot expected from us. However, one thing that we should start to expect from ourselves and to provide for our family is the desire for mental stability and lasting memories. Family vacations can be a source of both of those, in addition to other life-long traits and qualities. Tonight we’re going to discuss the spirit of family vacationing and the purposeness we all need for them.

After some interesting dialogue and some resources for those who suffer dad-guilt, the show shifts to the final segment: Shit-uations.

Tonight's Shit-uations has Josh reading FMLs from FML.com. He really focused on some spicy and risque situations the posters have found themselves in.
