Hey Everyone!

On today's show Scott and Tim O'Hara welcome SFX Make-Up Artist, George Schminky, and Chemist Darius Faizi to the podcast.

Is there something after death? Does consciousness survive? Those are the questions we ask as Tim and I try to keep the conversation from derailing into total chaos.

Tim and I have known both Darius and George for several years, and what attracts me most to having conversations with our friends like this, is that they're honest. We're questioning, doubting, explaining our fears, and seeking to tell each other stories in an effort to better understand what is out there. While we always will continue to have experts on the show to provide in depth analysis into certain topics, it's important we don't forget what dads, parents, families live through and experience every day. We believe these conversations are a reminder of that. And also a reminder of the staggering immaturity adult men can demonstrate.

Through our conversation I believe you can see some of the biggest concerns affecting not only parents but family members, and that's protecting your loved ones. Whether it's a sick relative or keeping your children safe, it's something we all think about. Unfortunately, sometimes evil finds a way to rear its ugly head despite your best efforts, as demonstrated by Tim's story about his abusive baby sitter.

As we've mentioned before, the world seems to be an insane place sometimes, filled with chaos and unknowns. But if you are able to do the little things to prepare, it can give you some mental relief and confidence.

Set up a security system in your house, own a firearm (depending on your personal belief and laws in your state or country), take a self-defense course, and the list goes on. Find what makes you feel confident, comfortable, and in control of your life and the lives of your family members… And then go have fun, go enjoy every second you have to spend on this earth with the people you love. The older we get the more we realize, time is the most valuable thing in the world, don't waste it. Don't waste it worrying about what could happen. There's a fine line between being prepared and being paranoid.
