Ephesians 1:21 tells us that Jesus is “far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named….” Does this mean we are not to submit to the civil governments of this world? How do we as Christians balance our loyalties? Should we get involved in politics? Should we support one party over another? Should we submit to civil authority even if it contradicts God’s word? Can politics be a part of our evangelism? Thankfully, God gives us direction in His word about our duty as citizens under earthly authority.

There will always be difficult people in all facets of life. Sadly, there may be some in the church. How do we go from fake smiles to loving them like Jesus?
