  • Daily Battle #29: Everything has a System
On today’s episode of the Daily Battle we are talking about systems and how systems provide you freedom. Do you have intentional systems in place? Each area of our lives and businesses need systems and procedures in place in order to function optimally.

When having systems and process in place as well as people to put them into action, you also have freedom. You have the freedom to focus on what’s most important. There is a reduced sense of chaos and you can be truly present in your work instead of constantly distracted.
    In this week’s episode:

  • Daily Battle #27: Values, Priorities, and The Road Trip of Your Life
On today’s episode of the Daily Battle I want to talk to you about your values and priorities. We’ll also talk about the vehicle you are driving on the road trip of your life.

What is this road trip of your life I am referring to? The road trip is your life’s path while the stops you take on your road trip are the things you are going to do and experience in your life. The people inside the car represent those on your journey with you.

Your vehicle might be a bus with a lot of people. Although, you might just have an SUV with your immediate family. It depends on your values. The actual vehicle itself is what gets you down the road, which represents the way you earn money and support your life. The fuel in the vehicle is representation of your effort and energy you put forth.
    In this week’s episode:
    Takeaway #1: Own your time
Use your time and spend your time with people you love.
Harmony is found when you align your values and priorities.
Takeaway #2:Make yourself the number one priority in your life
Get up and take care of yourself first thing.
If you are the number one asset, you are the number on value.
Takeaway #3: Your actions reflect your values and priorities
Be the best driver of the vehicle of your life.
If you don’t feel like something is going right, reflect on your values and priorities.

  • Daily Battle #26: Learning to Fly
I have been trying to figure out how to fly for many years. When I say fly I am meaning to live an extraordinary life. I have and had a good life and I am very appreciated and grateful for what I have been given. This isn’t to say my life hasn’t experienced pain, heart ace, disappointment, and failure. And I have done some shitty things over the years, I am human as we are all.

I am not sure when the search began, where the deep seeded desire to be the best version of myself and to seek that person but somewhere inside of me there is this burning desire to win.

For me winning is the measure of the man I have become. I define winning by be able to accomplish what I set out to accomplish, no matter how small.

I remember when I was a kids, I convinced the neighbor to hire me to cut his grass. When it came to edging I was out there with pruning scissors on my hands and knees meticulously. Not the most efficient use of my time but I was wanting to produce the best edge possible. Producing the best job possible was about winning and about being the best.

As I look back, I wonder where did the desire to win come from?

Are we all born with it?

    Do you want to win?

Have you given up on winning?

What I didn’t expect when I started out was how much crashing it would take for me to learn to fly.

Crashing sucks, it came be defeating, it can eat at the core of who you think you are.

I share this with you and I write this so you can understand if you have crashed.

Its ok, you are not alone. I have to and so many other people have as well and are crashing this point.

My commitment is to learn to fly and it doesn’t matter how long or how much work it takes, I am going to learn to fly higher than I have ever flown.

I am going to learn to soar.

The following topics will be discussed every month:

    Week 1: Leadership
    Week 2: Marketing
    Week 3: Sales
Week 4: Lifestyle & Personal Development

    In this week’s episode:

Takeaway #1: It’s Not About the Over Preparation and PowerPoint
It’s important to have personal certainty.
Sales is about the energy that you bring into the marketplace as an individual.
What makes you competitive is when you show up when you are whole and certain with your self, family, and spirituality.
People are attracted to the truth.
The most powerful man in the marketplace is the one with the truth.
Show up with a powerful conversation.

Takeaway #2: Have a daily connection to your why
Come from your heart, not your ego.
Your family is your biggest gift.
Don’t view your family as a responsibility; they are not a weight or burden.
If you don’t get the underlying piece right, it doesn’t matter.
If you want to be a better salesman, you have to be a better man first.

    Takeaway #4: Be Battle Ready
Know and acknowledge that what you bring to a conversation is energy.
    Your energy is everything.
If you have lies and secrets, you are using energy to cover those.
If you aren’t not connected with your family, those things leak energy.
Sweat every day and make sure your nutrition is on point.
    Consider investing in coaching.
Nobody is served by you playing small.
Sometimes you have to walk into the void and be vulnerable.

Takeaway #1: The Mind Protects You, The Heart Gives You a Fulfilling Life
Get out and get it, go for it.
Know when to be emotional and know how to get those emotions to work for you not against you.
The most successful people know when to use their mind, their emotions and when to use both.
Decide that you are going to be in control of your mind and your emotions; it’s a game changer.
If you focus on situations you cannot control, you are on the road to depression.
Understand what things you can control and what you can’t control.
Let it be and let go of the things you can’t control.
Takeaway #2: The Quality of Your Questions Create the Quality of Your Life
    Be constantly questioning yourself.
    Always ask why.
Ask yourself if what you are doing is adding value to you and others.
Ponder whether you are becoming better or if someone else is getting better.
Is what you are doing adding value to your goals, values, priorities, etc.?
Takeaway #3: Building A Business Is Never a Straight Line
    Never give up.
There will always be ups and downs.
Focus on always learning and getting better.
Do not be afraid of risks.
Follow your heart, not your mind.
    Make it happen.
You can have all the knowledge in the world, but if you don’t use it’s worthless.
If you have a goal and vision stick to it.
If you are not getting to your goal, don’t change your goal, change your strategy.
    Takeaway #4: Be Battle Ready
    Train your mind.
    Control your emotions.
Be in an open state and opportunities will come.
Everything you need is within you.
You have to get yourself right before you can get the rest right.
