Ruth Anne Morgan, 81, died at home in Red Hook on June 19, 2025. She was born on October 14, 1943, in the Bronx and moved with her parents and six siblings to the Rhinebeck area by the time she was eight. After graduating from Rhinebeck High School in 1960, Ruth went on to attend Prairie Bible Institute and then Chrysler Business School, where she studied Secretarial Science. The letter-writing salvo between the Red Hook Boat Club and Red Hook Town Supervisor Robert McKeon continued this week with the Club declaring for the first time in writing that an acquisition is a “red line” the Town must not breach.
