As Jesus' family was struggling to get to him, we find him teach who his family truly is. In an area where many believers struggle, Jesus gives us clear wisdom on how to proceed with biblical truth.

The mysteries within God's Word are given to each of us. With every  opportunity to learn, there is an opportunity to share. Will we use what we are given or lose what we are given?

Jesus began teaching again through a parable that confused the disciples. After asking the meaning, Jesus revealed its powerful meaning that is very relevant for us today. The fruit from the seed depends much on the soil.

Jesus was meeting with Simon at his house only to find a woman getting the attention as she washed Jesus' feet. While this led Simon to criticize, Jesus used this as an opportunity to teach with a story of a creditor and a debtor.

In His confirmation of John the Baptist's ministry, Jesus reiterates the faithfulness of John; however, He remind those listening that there is something greater. What could be better than being the forerunner to Christ?

In the most difficult season of his life, John the Baptist faced a battle within that led him to send some of his friends to Jesus. In His response, Jesus reassures him that He is the Messiah. 

As we observe the actions of Jesus, we will see His heart and power to meet every need that we have. In the town of Nain, we learn this vital lesson because of our great need.

From the word of Jesus to the works of Jesus, we get to learn from an individual that had amazing faith. The faith on display was so great that Christ commended the individual for us to learn an incredible lesson.

Within this passage, Jesus finishes His message strong. He uses an illustration to drive home the importance of what we are building our life upon. If our foundation is faulty, trials will reveal it leading to ruin.
