Jesus warns against judgmentalism (not the same as judging), and He explains that Fruit bears witness to Root.

Jesus did much to clarify His identity from what he said as was substantiated by what he said.  

Some of Jesus' most poignant statements begin with the words, "But I Tell You."  What were they?

Jesus calls us to live in right relationships with others, but what do we do when the other person resists?  What about our own hearts?  What pattern does Scripture give in dealing with division?

What were apostles?  What unique qualities?  Would all who were called pan-out to excellent in the end?  What empowerments do modern Christians have which carry-over from what was given to the original 12?

Sometimes Jesus did things which we controversial to the religious, but which were life-giving otherwise.  Would you choose the life-giving or the strict and Spiritless?

Jesus did righteous, merciful things on the Sabbath and it got him into all kinds of trouble with the religious establishment.  Through his acts of healing mercy, Jesus underscored the fact that he is God.

As Christians, with whom do we spend most of our time?  Jesus spent the bulk of his time surrounded by his disciples, up close and personal.  He also was known to eat and drink with sinners so that he could point them to the truth about himself.  This is a practice we need to continue. We are called to bring the Gospel to light in the conversations, the meals, we have as well. 

It is one thing to say someone is forgiven, but then to add the proof of enabling him to walk is another.  Jesus did just that, substantiating his claim of being God.  In this story, there are lessons for believers about carrying their friends to Christ. 

Jesus responded in compassion to a leper.  How will He respond to you?  Jesus miracle propels His message forward through, yet, another changed life.
