The City of eThekwini defended itself against the findings of Auditor General, Tsakani Maluleke who said that the City failed to manage its water tankers properly during the floods. They responded by saying that the AG needs to understand that they were severely. Spokesperson for the Mayor Msawakhe Mayisela is quoted as saying that this was a disaster of great proportion, meaning that certain plans under these circumstances are likely to be derailed.
