The defence lawyer, arrested at the Senzo Meyiwa murder trial in the Pretoria High Court, says was held on a fraudulent warrant of arrest. Advocate Malesela Teffo was arrested for contempt of court after the matter adjourned. He allegedly failed to appear on a contempt of court matter. The warrant is understood to have been issued in January. Teffo represents four of the accused in the Senzo Meyiwa murder trial. Teffo says his previous warrant of arrest was cancelled.
