40 countries across the world are said to have banned animal testing for cosmetics, but sadly South Africa is not one of them. In an effort to intensify the fight against this cruelty, Hollywood filmmakers in collaboration with the Humane Society International have produced a stop-motion animated short film, #SaveRalph. It gives you a sense of what animals feel when cosmetics are tested on them. Let’s take a listen…..

SADeC security and defence ministers met in Mozambique yesterday ahead of the Extraordinary Double Troika Summit. The gatherings will discuss the instability and insurgency in Mozambique's northern region of Cabo Delgado. Militants have been terrorising the region since 2017. The latest attack happened last month when dozens of people including a South African man were killed. Heads of states will convene for the double summit in Maputo later today.

NEHAWU President, Mzwandile Makwayiba, has blamed President Cyril Ramaphosa for the non-implementation of the 2018 wage agreement signed with public sector unions. Government through the Ministry of Finance has since announced a wage freeze for South Africa's one-point-two million public servants.
